Natalie Watson returned to the villa to find Susan cleaning.
Seeing her, Susan happily dropped her cleaning rag and trotted over. "You're finally back! Where have you been these past few days? You've lost so much weight. I need to go buy some groceries and make you a nourishing meal."
Although Susan was sent by the Ramirez family, she had always taken good care of her. Natalie was touched by her concern.
"Susan, is Alexander Ramirez here?"
Susan's smile stiffened, and she stammered, "He... he's been at Sagebrush Community these past few days..."
Sagebrush Community. That was where Camila White was staying.
Natalie lowered her gaze, feeling a sense of calm she hadn't felt before.
She smiled. "Alright, I understand." With that, she went upstairs.
As Susan headed out to buy groceries, she called Alexander Ramirez. "Mr. Ramirez, Mrs. Ramirez just got back..."
In the bedroom, Natalie packed all her clothes. Then, she took the divorce papers from her bag and placed them gently on the desk.
She had already booked a flight to London for that evening. Originally, she had planned to talk to Alexander one last time before leaving, to persuade him to sign.
But now, that step seemed unnecessary.
Natalie slowly raised her right hand and removed the diamond ring from her ring finger.
A deep indentation remained, a silent testament to the mark the marriage had left.
She pictured their wedding day, when Alexander had taken her hand and slipped the sparkling diamond ring onto her finger.
He had said, "Natalie Watson, I will only love you for the rest of my life. If my heart ever changes, may I never be able to find you again."
She placed the wedding ring on top of the divorce papers and murmured, "In the future, don't make promises so easily."
Grabbing her suitcase, Natalie Watson turned and walked out the door without a backward glance.
“Alexander Ramirez, for the rest of our lives, I hope we never meet again.”
At the guest house of Sagebrush Community, a maid was helping Camila White pack her things. "Alex, I'm really fine staying here," she said, looking at the man in the living room.
Alexander Ramirez sat in an armchair, absently twisting the wedding ring on his left hand.
Camila's expression flickered, but she eventually said, "Okay. Thank you, Alex."
Alexander didn't say another word and left.
When he returned to the villa, there was no sign of Natalie Watson on the ground floor.
After changing his shoes, he went upstairs and walked straight to the guest bedroom door.
The door was closed. He raised his hand, hesitated for a moment, then pushed it open.
The room was tidy, and the bed was empty.
Hearing the front door open downstairs, he immediately turned around.
Susan came in with a large bag of groceries.
Alexander stood on the stairs and demanded, "You said Natalie Watson was back. Where is she?" "She's not here? But she really did come back," Susan said, surprised.
She disappears for days, only to run off again the moment she returns. It was clear she never considered this place her home. A flicker of anger ignited in Alexander. "I'm having the door code changed. I'll give you the new one in a bit. And without my permission, you are not to give it to Natalie Watson."
