I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis novel Chapter 393

Chapter 393 Honeymoon: Game Night

Guilt prickled the back of my neck.

Sneaking off somewhere that beautiful without them felt almost criminal. I fumbled for an excuse. We just…. wandered around.

Ashton stayed quiet. Sensible man.

We had dinner at the hotel, then wandered out.

Not far away, loudspeakers blared harsh rock music, and coloured lights flickered through the palm trees, scattering patches of shifting shadow across the sand.

Ashton led us over. A lively beach party was in full swing.

He ordered some drinks, fruit juice, and a platter of snacks, then found a spot in the corner to sit down.

The host, speaking English with a distinct local accent, kept the event running smoothly.

They started with a dance lesson.

Staff dressed in bright, exotic costumes and heavy makeup took the lead, teaching travellers from all over the world how to dance with dramatic, rhythmic movements.

Mickey had only planned to watch, but Minnie grabbed him and insisted she couldn’t possibly go alone. He had no choice but to give in.

The crowd parted as soon as they saw two children stepping up.

Minnie followed the woman in front, swaying her hips and twisting her neck to the beat. Mickey looked utterly miserable. Every time he tried to sneak off, Minnie spotted him immediately, clamped onto his wrist, and refused

to let go.

In the end, he gave up, moving stiffly and awkwardly while Minnie danced with all the enthusiasm in the world.

Once the lesson ended, the music switched to a faster beat. The host turned up the volume, and the whole crowd tried to keep up, their hands and feet flailing in every direction. The elegant, exotic dance turned into gleeful

chaos.

Ashton and I sat at our table, watching the kids flounder among the grownups, laughing so hard we could barely

breathe.

By the time they returned to their seats, their hair was damp with sweat, but their faces were lit up with bright, unrestrained smiles.

After the dancing came the games.

Most people visiting Sereia Cay were couples or newlyweds, so all the activities were designed for pairs.

The first game was balloon popping.

Couples had to burst three balloons in different ways: pressing it between their chests, back to back, and finally by placing it on the man’s lap for the woman to sit on.

I stared at the stage, stunned.

Was this really safe for the men?

The host explained the rules with great enthusiasm. The fastest couple to burst all three balloons would win two bottles of the resort’s signature drinks.

Ashton and I weren’t particularly interested in the prize, but Minnie leaned close and urged, Mum, Dad, go and play! Look, everyone else is doing it!

I could never say no to her, so I dragged Ashton up to join.

Couples of all ages were lining up, from teenagers to elderly pairs with silver hair. People from all over the world had gathered for this silly little game.

We waited our turn on the side.

When the host gave the signal, I grabbed the first balloon and ran straight at Ashton, pressing it between us.

Go, Dad!

Go, Mum!

The balloon exploded with a sharp pop that sent my hair flying. I jumped, then rushed to grab the second balloon, pressing it against Ashton’s back.

Finally, Ashton sat down on the stool the host had placed onstage. He raised an eyebrow at me, a spark of anticipation in his eyes.

I hesitated for a heartbeat, then set the balloon in his lap, squeezed my eyes shut, and sat down hard.

The bang made me let out a small, startled Ahas I clapped my hands over my ears.

Ashton laughed and pulled me into his arms.

The host announced our time. Thirtytwo seconds.

In the end, the winners were a couple in their fifties.

Their hair was already streaked with grey, but they were fit and lively, moving together with a kind of unspoken understanding that surprised everyone. They popped all three balloons and finished in just twelve seconds.

Ashton and I had no complaints about losing to them.

He said, When we’re their age, we’ll be even more in sync than that.

I nodded.

A cool breeze drifted through the night. Lights glowed under the palm trees.

Ashton and I played until the kids were practically nodding off. Only then did we take them back to bed.
