I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis novel Chapter 391

Chapter 391 Honeymoon: Pink Sand Beach

We lifted off the ground, slowly at first, then smoothly rising higher.

I glanced down at the ground crew, a cold shiver of unease running through me. Are you sure it’s safe with just the two of us?

Of course. A honeymoon’s only a honeymoon when it’s just us, isn’t it?

I pressed my lips together and turned to look at him. The light streaming through the window softened the sharp lines of his face, and for a moment he looked almost serene.

After a pause, I asked, Are we just flying around the island?

He glanced at me, a quiet smile playing at the corners of his mouth, but didn’t answer.

I gave up trying to guess and focused on the view outside instead.

The helicopter soared over the island and headed out to sea. The lush green faded into the distance until it was just a tiny dot in the middle of endless blue.

The sky above was a clear, brilliant blue, and the water below was a deep turquoise. It felt as if the sea and sky were mirroring each other, melting into one breathtaking expanse.

The only sound was the steady beat of the rotor blades. It wasn’t unpleasant. For a while, it felt like the world had shrunk to just us and this helicopter.

I couldn’t stop gasping as I took photos, snapping everything around us. It was unbelievably beautiful.

Ashton flew smoothly. Apart from the occasional bump when we hit strong air currents, the ride was steady.

I lost all sense of time. It felt both long and short, like I’d been floating in a dream.

Then, out on the emerald horizon, a small dot appeared.

As we drew closer, I realised the dot was pink. The closer we got, the bigger it grew, until I could make out an island.

I pointed, eyes wide. Is that where we’re going? Oh my God, it’s gorgeous. Why is it pink?

Ashton smiled. It belongs to a business partner of mine. I borrowed it for the day to bring you here.

My jaw nearly hit the floor. I couldn’t take my eyes off it.

As he circled lower, my surprise only grew. It’s heartshaped,I blurted out.

The island was a perfect heart, its pink sand glowing softly against the emerald water. It looked like something straight out of a romance film.

This place was made for proposals and grand gestures.

My chest felt warm just looking at it. I had to admit, Ashton’s connections came in handy.

He caught the look on my face and chuckled. If you really like it, I could talk to my friend. Maybe he’ll sell it to me.

I wanted to say yes. Who wouldn’t want their own private heartshaped island? But I shook my head. No need It’s enough just to see it.

He gave me a quick smile, then turned back to the controls and began to descend.

The helicopter touched down gently on the pink sand.

I climbed out and stepped barefoot onto the warm, powdery beach.

The sand was soft and warm, wrapping around my toes as the heat from it drifted up in gentle waves. Emerald water rolled in from the shore, curling into thick, pale pink foam as it broke.

I was in an impossibly good mood. If the sea hadn’t been moving, I might have believed time had actually stopped. Ashton stood beside me, looking down with a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

It’s just us here.

I turned to him. This place is stunning. I’ve never been anywhere this beautiful. This honeymoon was so worth it.

Ashton’s expression softened with a flicker of smug satisfaction. He raised an eyebrow. So is this the part where we act like the leads in a cheesy romance drama? You run along the beach and I chase after you?

I blinked, then burst out laughing. No way. That’s ridiculous.

He started to walk ahead. But then I lifted my skirt and bolted forward. Well? Come and catch me then!
