Inferno Demon Riders MC: My Five Obsessed Bullies novel Chapter 144

Evander’s P.O.V.

***************************************************

It was so late, or early depending on how you looked at it, that the clubhouse was quiet. Ish. I haven’t heard this silence in a while. Not that it’s actually silent. There’s still music playing, loudly, but not blaring like it was before. There are still a few brothers lingering around. Some are getting it on with some of the succubi. Some are drunk and about to pass out with the others that already have. And some are still drinking and playing cards.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen the club this way. There’s always been a few hours in the wee morning hours when the club is in this weird calm but not calm state. The calmest that a biker club can get, I guess? Usually this happens between 4–6 in the morning. The time when the club girls, along with some of the older ladies, would rise to prepare breakfast for everyone. Most of the late-night stragglers usually took that moment to retreat to their rooms or wherever else they needed to be.

I had just finished cleaning all the bathrooms, as Karma had insisted. Lately, he’d been piling on more and more tasks for me—mostly the kind nobody else wanted to touch. Not exactly glamorous, but at least I wasn’t being asked to do anything too grisly, like chopping up bodies or some shit. Sometimes I wondered if Karma had any inkling of what Blythe had been up to lately, those little tricks Dragon had clearly noticed. The way things were shifting around here, it was hard not to be curious.

After stashing the cleaning supplies back in the closet near the kitchen, I wasn’t quite ready to retreat to my room. Instead, I leaned against the wall, staring blankly at the opposite one. Sleep wasn’t coming. All I wanted was to crawl into bed beside Blythe and wrap myself around her. It was selfish, I knew—I didn’t deserve that comfort. But it felt like the only way I’d find any rest.

Earlier, after talking with Dragon and Psy.cho, I’d gone on what I called an apology tour—the best I could manage, anyway. I made my rounds, apologizing to the brothers, offering deeper apologies to those who had some inkling of the truth. The only ones I missed were Slider and Joker; both had been absent most of the day. When Joker finally emerged from his room, it was only briefly to grab some food to take back. He mentioned not letting Aria—aka Glitter—out until we had church, so he could claim her properly and she’d get her property cut. Then he disappeared again.

Slider returned later with a girl—a random girl, not a regular or a succubus. The way he slid her straight to his room and didn’t come back out told me she was about to be claimed. Probably brought her here because the club was on lockdown; no way he wanted her caught up in all our mess.

Still, I hadn’t apologized to Slider, Joker, Karma, or CG yet. I tried talking to Karma and CG today, but neither was having it. After my conversations with Psy.cho and Dragon, I felt ready to bare my soul to the last two. But Karma wouldn’t even spare me a glance, and CG’s look when I approached wiped out every ounce of confidence I had.

“The fuck are you doing just staring at the wall?” a voice broke through my thoughts.

I looked up to find Karma standing in the kitchen. Shirtless, wearing sweatpants low on his hips, hair a messy tangle, and looking exhausted. His brow was furrowed, and he wore a scowl. Grumpy, no doubt.

“Uh, just lost in thought,” I muttered, rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly.

He grunted and moved toward the coffee pot.

“It’s almost six in the morning,” he said. “Why aren’t you back with Blythe yet?”

“Well, you were all with her,” I replied weakly. “I was just about to head back.”

Karma turned, crossing his arms and leaning against the counter. His gaze was sharp, unreadable.

“You kept trying to talk to me yesterday,” he said. “Talk now.”

“R-right now?” I stammered, feeling like an idiot.

“You have five minutes, Evander,” he said flatly.

“Okay,” I said, scrambling to recall the apology I’d rehearsed a million times. “I just wanted to say how sorry I am. I know I’ve said it before. I know you saw how I was after we found out everything… But I’m so sorry, Karma. Sorry for lying, for keeping it a secret. Sorry I never told any of you until it was way too late—”

“Technically, you didn’t tell us at all,” he interrupted. “You were found out.”

“I know,” I mumbled.

“You were trying to though, weren’t you?” he asked quietly. “All those times I blew you off—I thought you wanted to talk about your feelings for Blythe. I was stressed with everything going on in the club. I should’ve given you more time. Even if it was something dumb like your feelings for your stepsister,” he added, and I nearly groaned at the word. “For that, I’m sorry. I wasn’t a good prez to you in those moments. Maybe things would’ve been different if I had been.”

I shook my head.

“Nah, that’s on me, not you,” I said. “I could’ve been more assertive, forced you to listen. I shouldn’t have kept secrets or lied to any of you. Things just spiraled out of control in so many ways. I didn’t expect any of it, and I was too scared to tell the truth, too caught up in the lie.”

Karma gave a slow nod.

“And what have the brothers said during your little apology tour?” he asked, pouring himself a cup of coffee.

I exhaled slowly.

“Some gave me shit,” I admitted. “Most said they forgive me. Dragon and Psy.cho said they’ll forgive me once you and CG do.”

Karma studied me as he sipped his coffee.

“And Blythe?” he pressed.

“You already know how she feels,” I replied. “She forgives me, but wants me to suffer. More and more every damn day. I swear, I’m going to bust my jeans the next time I see her naked. Hell, she might not even have to be naked.”

Karma smirked.

“I meant, how are things going with her?” he clarified.

I swallowed hard, debating whether I should tell him about what she’d been up to.

“E-Evander…” she breathed, voice sweet and breathy.

“I…” I started, unsure of what to say or do.

“You’re not allowed to touch me,” she giggled, a sound cut off by a choked moan as Psy.cho thrust into her.

“Heard you’ve been touching him,” Dragon teased me from over her shoulder.

Blythe gasped, arching her back and grinding against them as they fucked her.

“O-only a little,” she stammered. “Mostly, I made him watch.”

“You’ve been a big tease, huh, Peaches?” Dragon laughed before thrusting up again, making her moan his name.

“Wanna tease him more…” she moaned, head thrown back, eyes locking on me. “Take it out,” she demanded. “I want to see how much it misses me.”

I did what she said. Had to, right? Karma told me not to touch her. I still had to listen. Like a good boy.

“Mmmmm,” she moaned again, writhing between the two.

“Fuck, she’s gushing,” Psy.cho groaned, picking up the pace.

“Evander,” Blythe sang with a giggle. “Play with it for me. I want to watch you cum.”

Fuck. Was that a good idea?

“You heard the lady,” Dragon said. “Your job is to do as she says.”

“Yeah, Evander, come on,” Psy.cho taunted, egging me on.

Fuck, these three were going to get me into trouble—I just knew it.
