The atmosphere crackled with tension as Sean’s fury escalated, his gaze darkening like a storm cloud as it fixed on Helen. “Haven’t you caused enough trouble?” he seethed, his voice low and dangerous.

In his mind, it was unfathomable that Josh, the notorious troublemaker known for his volatile temper, would ever exhibit such deference to a woman he deemed inferior. The very thought of Josh calling Helen his boss made Sean’s blood boil.

He couldn’t accept the idea that Helen might truly stop loving him. No, this was merely a game to her—a strategy to draw him in closer, he thought. “She’s just playing hard to get,” he convinced himself, dismissing the reality of the situation.

Yet, the question lingered: how had she managed to persuade Josh to play along with her little charade? The entire scene felt orchestrated, a performance designed to provoke him.

“You’re putting on this whole show just to get my attention,” he accused, his confidence radiating from him like a palpable force.

The expression on his face was almost comical, a mixture of disbelief and arrogance that made Helen chuckle, though her laughter was laced with scorn. “Put away that self-absorbed attitude of yours,” she replied, her tone as cool as ice.

“You!” Sean’s eyes turned icy, a cold fury replacing the earlier bravado. He slammed his glass down onto the floor, the sound of shattering glass echoing ominously in the room.

“What the hell! You bitch, how dare you talk to Sean like that? Don’t push your luck!” Blondie, already teetering on the edge of drunkenness, surged forward, his bravado fueled by liquid courage.

In his mind, he couldn’t fathom that the once-timid Helen, who had always cowered in Sean’s shadow, would dare to stand her ground now. He was convinced she was merely bluffing, trying to act tough.

Fueled by a reckless sense of invincibility, he charged at her, ready to teach her a lesson she wouldn’t forget. “Blondie!” Sean’s heart raced, panic rising as he caught sight of Josh, whose expression had turned as cold and sharp as ice. Sean’s attempt to intervene came too late.

With a wicked grin plastered on his face, Blondie lunged forward, his hand reaching for Helen’s collar, intent on dragging her into a humiliating confrontation.

But Helen was already a step ahead. With a calm, almost detached demeanor, she effortlessly sidestepped his grasp, her movements fluid and precise. In one swift motion, she seized his wrist and twisted it with a brutal force.

The sickening sound of bone snapping filled the air, and Blondie’s scream echoed like a siren.

With a fierce determination, Helen lifted her foot and executed a stunning maneuver, stepping squarely on Blondie’s head.

He howled in agony as his body crumpled to the ground, desperately trying to roll away, but her foot held him firmly in place, immobilizing him.
