Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 116

If his father found out it was Larissa, would he actually try to kill her?

He couldn’t bear to think about it. He wanted revenge on Larissa, but he wasn’t cruel enough to want her dead.

“There’s one other thing,” Paxton said, his tone shifting. “Starlight Media hasn’t been performing well. Have you come up with a strategy to turn things around?”

Finley shared his plan. “I’m currently pursuing the rights to the final novel of a very popular author. All of her previous adaptations have been massive hits. She’s holding a small fan meeting at the end of the month, and I’ll be there in person. If I can secure the rights to this book, I’m certain we can produce another blockbuster.”

Paxton’s expression remained grim. “Good. It’s important to have a plan. The situation in the Judson family has changed. You must deliver results and impress your grandfather. You saw your sister tonight; she is not to be underestimated. I’ve sent your mother to repair relations with her. If she accepts our olive branch, all will be well. But if she stubbornly refuses and chooses to oppose us, we must be prepared for the worst.”

“What’s the worst-case scenario?” Finley asked.

Paxton let out a cold laugh. “Your dear sister told your mother she came back to destroy our family’s business. What do you think is the worst-case scenario?” He paused. “If she’s really so reckless as to try and take the Judson family fortune from us, then we can’t allow her to run wild.”

So Larissa had said something like that? The sheer audacity of it was staggering. His father would never tolerate such a threat.

After a moment of silence, Finley said, “I understand, Dad.”
