Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 122

Larissa just shook her head and smiled.

By the time Draven had settled Valeria into her new place, it was nearly one in the morning. When he returned to the manor, he found his father still waiting for him in the great hall.

“How is Valeria?” Thatch asked, massaging his temples, his face etched with exhaustion.

Draven’s expression was grim. “She’s a mess, just crying nonstop. I’ve posted a couple of guards nearby to keep an eye on her, just in case.”

Thatch sighed. “Good. She’ll have to tough it out for a while. We’ll bring her back as soon as we have full control.”

Draven moved to stand behind his father, gently pushing his hands away to massage his temples for him. “I never knew Haskell could be so ruthless,” he said. “Three years of history with Valeria, and he threw it all away without a second thought.”

Thatch’s eyes turned icy. “Indeed,” he sneered. “He’s been so mild-mannered all these years, I truly underestimated how cold-hearted my own son could be.”
