Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 125

Vivica froze. “Cook breakfast… here?”

Larissa raised an eyebrow. “That’s right. I feel like eating at home today.”

Vivica swallowed her pride. “Alright, my daughter. I’ll go make you breakfast right now. You just wait.” As she spoke, she reached for Larissa’s hand.

Larissa sidestepped the gesture and walked over to Sapphira, linking her arm through her mother’s. “Isn’t this great, Mom? We get to have breakfast personally cooked by Vivica today.”

Vivica nearly choked. She quickly tried to clarify, “Larissa, I meant I would cook for you, specifically.”

“Then don’t bother,” Larissa said flatly. “If you’re not willing to cook for my mother too, you can get out. Don’t disturb our breakfast.”

Vivica’s face visibly soured.

Leopold, who had a notoriously short temper, forgot his mother’s instructions completely. “Larissa, don’t push your luck!” he snapped. “You should feel honored that Mom is willing to cook for you at all!”

“Leopold, don’t talk to your sister like that,” Vivica interjected quickly, forcing a smile. “It’s my honor. It’s my honor to be able to cook for my daughter.”

“Mom—” Leopold started, exasperated.

Vivica squeezed his wrist, her smile still fixed in place. “It’s fine, Larissa. Whatever you want. I’ll make a portion for you and Sapphira.”

Sapphira sighed, shaking her head at the lengths Vivica was going to. She truly couldn’t understand it. If she’d known it would come to this, why hadn’t she acted differently from the start?

Vivica turned to Honora. “Honora, dear, go home and get that prized restorative broth I like so much. I’m going to make it for Larissa.”

“Of course,” Honora replied.

Larissa dismissed Wren, telling her to tend to other matters, then turned back to Vivica. “Well? Get on with it. I’m hungry.”
