Larissa's Game of Thrones (Larissa) novel Chapter 78

The treatment ended around one in the afternoon.

Larissa removed the last needle. "We're done for today," she told the pale-faced Haskell. "Go home and rest."

"It's already lunchtime. Why don't we eat together first?" Haskell suggested as he lowered his pant leg. His gaze was fixed on her, his voice calm, as if the preceding hours of agony had been nothing but a dream.

Just as Larissa was about to answer, her phone rang. It was an unknown number.

She put her needles away and answered. Torrin Dillon's voice came through the line. "Larissa, where are you?"

"Almost at the train station," she lied smoothly.

"Okay, wait there. I'm on my way to pick you up."

"Alright." She hung up and met Haskell's curious gaze. "An ex-boyfriend," she explained, tucking her phone away.

Haskell raised an eyebrow. "You're still in contact with him?"
