Left Them Loved Myself (Stella Spencer) novel Chapter 105

Chapter 105

:

Harvey thought for a moment and then said, “Help me design a jewelry collection.”

“Huh?” Stella looked puzzled. “Harvey, are we really about to pivot again?”

As soon as she said that, Marvin and Evelyn both turned to look at Harvey. Neither of them had heard him mention anything about that before.

Besides, this wasn’t the best time. They still hadn’t seen any returns from their previous investments. If they tried to switch things up now, the Spencer family would likely fall apart even without the Lloyd family’s involvement.

Harvey waved his hand. “Relax, it’s not a big change. It’s just that I have a friend abroad who’s really into jewelry. Remember that money transfer from overseas?”

“Of course,” Marvin nodded. “If it weren’t for that, the Spencer family might not have made it through this tough spot.”

“Exactly,” Harvey agreed. “And since we have Stella, who’s a jewelry genius, I thought I’d ask her to design something. It’s a way to thank my friend for helping us.”

Evelyn nodded. “He really came through when things were at their worst. We should definitely show our gratitude.”

However, she didn’t want to pressure Stella. She smiled softly and said, “Stella, don’t feel obligated. Do what feels right for you. If you want to do it, go ahead. If not, that’s okay too. Worst case, Harvey can figure something else out.”

“Aunt Evelyn,” Stella protested, shaking her head. “We’re family. Helping out the family is the right thing to do.”

“You’re such a good kid,” Evelyn whispered, pulling her into a hug, eyes misty with emotion.

Marvin watched them and felt deeply warmed.

Did I miss a step in some family ritual or what?‘ Harvey wondered. ‘I just asked for a jewelry design, so why do I suddenly feel like I’m the outsider here?‘

After dinner, Marvin and Evelyn left, and Harvey stayed behind to discuss the details with Stella.

“Harvey, what kind of jewelry does your friend like?” Stella asked. If she knew his style preferences or favorite elements, she could tailor the design to his taste.

“Well, Harvey paused, then said, “Honestly, he wants something that’ll make a huge impact. Something that’ll blow people away and make them fall in love with it right away–so much that they’ll feel they have to have

it.”

Erica dropped her polite act. “It sounds like your friend doesn’t care about jewelry–he’s only after the cash.”

Seriously, other than money, there was probably nothing in this world that everyone would actually like.

Stella blinked. “Harvey, do you have a clearer idea?”

Harvey scratched his head, thinking for a moment, then said, “Alright, I’ll just be honest. My friend owns a jewelry company, and he needs a collection that’ll make his brand famous. It has to be something that really

makes waves.”

“A company?” Stella blinked in surprise, but then it made sense. If he wasn’t some executive from a major overseas corporation, it would’ve been hard for him to get that much money.

But she couldn’t help but wonder, ‘When did Harvey even get to know someone like that?‘

Stella narrowed her eyes at him, and Harvey’s heart skipped a beat. It wasn’t that he was afraid she’d see through him–it was just that anyone telling a lie couldn’t help but feel nervous under that kind of stare. Harvey was no exception.

But it wasn’t like he was trying to keep secrets from them on purpose–some things were just better off with fewer people knowing.

Not long ago, he’d used the money Stella gave him to start a jewelry company in Seabrook called Eimdale Company. But before the company could even launch, a series of problems hit him, leaving him scrambling to deal with them.

“Chill, Erica called back, smiling. “I was just scrolling through my phone and found some great news.”

‘Finally, Dad is making his move, Erica thought, a sense of excitement bubbling up inside her.

“What news?” Stella asked, her curiosity piqued.

Erica didn’t mention anything about her dad, just said, “The public opinion about you has gotten a lot better lately. People aren’t giving you such a hard time anymore.”

Honestly, this whole mess wasn’t Stella’s fault at all–she was a victim just like everyone else. In fact, when things got bad, she tried to call the cops to save herself and basically wanted to help out everyone stuck in the situation.

But it was the robbers‘ actions that threw everyone off and misled them.

All Cody needed to do was release the surveillance footage showing Stella pulling out her phone and trying to call the police–once people saw that, all those rumors would instantly crumble.

At least now, most people would finally stop trying to pin the whole “hired a hitman” thing on Stella.

Stella thought for a moment. “Thanks,” she said softly, already piecing things together.

“What?” Erica feigned innocence, eyes wide. “Thank me? What for? I seriously didn’t do anything, and I totally didn’t get my dad involved, okay?”

“Sure, you didn’t,” Stella agreed, choosing not to call Erica out on her little act.

Some things didn’t need to be spelled out. Stella kept that kindness tucked away in her heart, and when the time came to repay the favor, she wouldn’t think twice.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.

Tll get the door. Erica quickly ran to the door, not wanting Stella to focus on their previous conversation.

When she opened the door, her face dropped. “What do you want?” she asked, clearly surprised.
