Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2875

Baldwin gazed stoically at Grenn's disappearing figure with an indifferent yet greed-filled expression.

"I just need one more half-immortal. Then I'll be able to break the seal and set my true body free to pursue the position of Lord of the Realm…"

Baldwin had not even gotten some scraps during his journey with Xavier to conquer Eastplain because Xavier had devoured all those half-immortals! He initially wanted to manipulate Xavier into letting him consume a half-immortal, thus allowing him the chance to break the seal and free his true form while the conflict was still ongoing at Eastplain. Alas, the outcome was disappointing, to put it mildly.

After withdrawing his gaze, Baldwin licked his lips and muttered under his breath, "If I can't have it, then I'll make sure no one can!"

Above the ruins of the Menzies ancestral land, Xavier and the four half-immortals continued to be locked in combat. Their towering auras wreaked havoc in every direction, and the space within several-hundred miles was shattered by the violent shockwaves following their battle. Severin and the others, having just dealt with the practitioners of the Primordial Sacred Land, were unable to intervene as a result.

The Grandiuno Sacred Land had ample manpower when they journeyed to Eastplain, but their strongest half-immortal—Adrian—was not with them. He was still injured following the battle at the Eastern Sea, and it would be unwise to put him at risk. After all, he was the anchor of the sea in the Grandiuno Sacred Land—a figure of divine significance. The sacred land would have a hard time having to explain to their disciples if any mishaps occurred.

Severin looked up at the flashes of divine light in the sky and the violent explosions caused by the clash of countless laws. The sight of Xavier holding his own against four opponents left Severin filled with awe and astonishment.

Grenn's main purpose there was to support Xavier. He swiftly reacted to the incoming attack and unleashed his full half-immortal attainment. Then, he raised his fist, which emitted a blinding light that resembled the sun.

The impact was audible as Severin and Grenn's weapons collided to produce a bright glow that shone in all directions. The dense sword light scattered down like raindrops, distorting the surrounding space and bringing forth a howling gale.

As the battle raged on, Grenn grew increasingly apprehensive. "He was only a level six supreme paragon back when we were at the Eastern Sea. How did he make such a rapid breakthrough? It's almost as though he's eaten some sort of celestial pill!"
