Life After Prison by Silencieux novel Chapter 2876

Severin's movements were smooth yet precise. The power of rules lent its might to him, and it was he slashed with such force that even the area around the web of his thumb began to ache. Grenn was a formidable semi-immortal., while Severin was by no means an ordinary level seven supreme paragon.

Grenn was surprised, no doubt, but he knew that being distracted in a fierce battle may allow his opponent to get an opening. Wasting no time in calming his emotions, Grenn wielded the baton in his hand and suppressed the surrounding void. He wanted to stop Severin at all costs.

In that split second, Severin weaved several dozen sword beams when he deduced that Grenn was pulling all the stops in their battle. At the same time, the Green Emperor's Pagoda above his head bloomed with light before immediately disappearing into the void. Bearing an unparalleled power that was second to none, the pagoda struck Grenn's chest with the weight of a mountain. Several of Grenn's ribs were broken, and his chest caved in too.

The impact was too strong for Grenn, who vomited blood as his aura began to dwindle.

Carson had considered coming to Severin's aid, but he was left with his mouth agape when he saw Severin dealing such a big blow to Grenn that the latter vomited blood. "He's ruthless!" Carson mumbled.

Inflicting a severe injury on a half-immortal with the attainment level of only a level seven supreme paragon was likely an unprecedented feat within the entire Bleurealm.

Willette, a swordsmanship extraordinaire himself, felt both happy and relieved when he witnessed Severin's mastery. He had intended to step forward and assist, but Severin seemed to have the battle in hand.

With the Oculus Blade in hand and the Green Emperor's Pagoda covering the sky above his head, divine light radiated from Severin's body like a true immortal descending from above. Each slash of his sharp sword beam forced Grenn into retreating.

As he was about to tear open the void and escape once again, a familiar voice sounded in his ears. "Where do you think you're going?"

A fluctuation in the void was followed by a deluge of malevolent energy. Baldwin's figure appeared right before him, and the former's avaricious gaze sent alarm bells ringing in Grenn's head. Just as he wanted to ask what was the matter, he felt his essence, blood, and life force draining uncontrollably out of him. Worse still, it was all flowing toward Baldwin.

"What's happening? What are you doing, Baldwin?" Grenn demanded an answer.

Baldwin, still concealed in the demonic aura, sneered, "What am I doing? Well, I'm devouring your life force so I can draw upon your essence and blood to break open the seal and release my true form!"
