**When Broken Stars Drift Across Empty Midnight Skies by Troy Mason Venn**
**Chapter 126: Drop A Bomb**

Laughter echoes through the mind-link, a mocking sound that sends a shiver down my spine as I meet Gilles’s terrified gaze. The fear etched on his face is almost palpable, and it fills me with a sense of grim satisfaction.
“I didn’t do anything,” Gilles protests weakly, attempting to take a step back. But my Warriors are steadfast, their loyalty unwavering. They know exactly what I expect from them, and Gilles finds himself rooted in place, unable to escape the inevitable.
“Gilles, you stand accused of the very same crime as your brother. The sole distinction is that your Mate is still alive, and I have eyewitnesses ready to testify against you.” My voice is steady, firm, as I allow him a fleeting moment to conjure a defense. Deep down, I doubt he can muster any justification for the torment he inflicted on his Mate, but I remain open to hearing his pathetic excuses.
Just as Gilles opens his mouth to speak, a fierce voice interrupts. A woman steps boldly next to Hondo, her presence commanding. “Don’t even think about denying it, Gilles. I am more than willing to share the details of the hell you and Haydu have put me through. I’ve never bought into your lies, especially not now. You are nothing but a sadistic jerk, just like Turold.” Her words slice through the tension, and I can see the impact they have on Gilles.
“Gilles Terrell, you are charged with the willful betrayal of your fated Mate. You subjected her to the agony of your treachery at every opportunity. You never bothered to conceal your infidelities; you committed these acts right in front of her, time and again. I, Alpha Alayah, hereby sentence you to death.” The finality of my words hangs in the air, and within moments, Gilles finds himself in cuffs, his fate sealed.
“Now, let us turn our attention to the Parks family.” I command, and my men give a firm push to ensure they step forward.
For now, I will focus solely on the males, as I have a particular surprise in store for Dusya. I charge both of them with the same heinous crimes as Gilles and Turold, and they too receive the death penalty.
“I will return to you shortly, Dusya. Just know that justice will not elude you,” I say, my tone leaving no room for doubt. I then call forth the Hyll family, and both Haydu and Orosz exchange confused glances, clearly unprepared for what is to come.
“Haydu Hyll, in addition to aiding Gilles, you are also charged with the abuse of Omegas, both mentally and physically. For your involvement in these crimes, I sentence you to death.” Haydu’s expression shifts from disbelief to horror as the weight of my words sinks in.
“Orosz Hyll, you too are guilty of abusing Omegas. Moreover, you obstructed your daughter Steffy’s connection with Charlie, attempting to sever the bond they were forging. You ensured that Charlie’s parents were aware of Steffy’s lineage as a Mountain Lion, and their subsequent abuse of her was purely psychological. You and Haydu resorted to physical violence, yet Charlie never wavered in her commitment to Steffy, and they are now blissfully together.” I pause, deliberately withholding Orosz’s sentence for the moment, as I still have more to address.
“Holly Farley, step forward.” A woman hesitantly approaches, her two young Pups in tow. “Leo and Maja, come here. I want you both to stay away from your mother.” Leo instinctively grips his sister’s arm, leading her toward Harper, away from Holly.
“Holly Farley and Orosz Hyll, you are both charged with the death of Marcus Farley. Your infidelity directly led to his demise, leaving him unable to defend himself against your betrayal. I sentence both of you to death.” A wave of relief washes over me, knowing that we are nearing the end of this grim affair.
