Lisa's heart skipped a beat, but she pretended not to notice and continued playing in the snow. Although she tried to hide it, Logan saw right through her. He noticed that she was avoiding him, but he wouldn't give her the chance anymore.

Lisa had just stepped out of the operating room when Martha called. "Mother dear, what would you like me to do?" she asked.

"You've been staying at your uncle's place lately, right?" Martha inquired.

She felt a chill run down her spine when she heard that question. She had a very bad feeling about this. "Yes, why?"

"Then you must know what your uncle has been up to lately," Martha said.

Lisa was completely baffled.

"Ms. Cohen, could you please be more direct? All this suspense is making me nervous." She stepped into her own resting room after leaving the operating room.

"Logan has a change of heart," Martha said with a sigh.

Lisa was momentarily speechless. The term used was quite cutting, but it was off the mark. They weren't in a romantic relationship—how could "change of heart" apply here?

But she caught on to what Martha was hinting at about. It seemed she had found out about Logan's reunion with his birth family.

Ever since Lisa learned about this, she had been on edge, and now the inevitable had happened. "How did you find out?" Lisa asked.

The next second, Martha emitted a sudden, sharp hiss. "Lisa, you knew about this all along! Why didn't you tell me?"

Lisa was shocked, closing her eyes and pulling the phone away from her ear. She could hear Martha sobbing softly. "You're all grown up now, ready to spread your wings and fly."
