She quickly looked away. "Uncle Logan, don't say that. My mom already suspects something. If she hears this, she'll kill me!"

"Because I'm no longer a Cohen, and I don't have any blood ties to the family. That's why I can be with you." His words made Lisa's breath catch in her throat.

She froze, and her mind reeled as if she had been struck on the head.
