"How could you give Xander's number to her?" I asked Brandon, frustration evident in my voice. "Don't underestimate her—she's completely capable of tracking him down."

He chuckled softly while massaging my legs. "She's as skittish as a deer, and Logan's as slow as molasses. Even though he had made his move, he hesitated to take anything too far, fearing it might scare her.

"If it weren't for Keith, he would probably have been pining after her for the rest of his life. Now that he's finally confessed his feelings, we need to give this slowpoke another nudge."

Brandon's words made sense, but at the end of the day, all I cared about was Lisa's thoughts. "What about Lisa? She has her reasons for refusing. After all, everyone sees Logan as her uncle. If they get together, others will be quick to judge and spread rumors about them."
