"Logan, I'd like to add Lisa on WhatsApp."
Joelle did ask Logan, tugging gently on his sleeve. Her delicate demeanor made her seem incredibly endearing.
He looked at her with the same gentle warmth in his eyes that Lisa was all too familiar with. It was the same way he used to look at her, and now he was looking at another woman the same way.
It reminded Lisa not to trust a man's claim that he had liked her for years—it was likely nothing more than empty words.
"You can add her if you want." His permission made Joelle look over happily.
Lisa, however, didn't really want to add Joelle. She didn't know her well, and she probably never would, as she wasn't fond of socializing with strangers. With a faint smile, she said, "Uncle Logan, aren't you worried that I'll tell Aunt Joelle something about you?"
His gaze turned cold and distant as he looked at her. "I don't have anything to hide from Jojo."
Lisa sneered inwardly. Hadn't he just warned her earlier?
She thought to herself, "What a hypocrite!"
Since Logan said it was okay to add her, Lisa added Joelle to her WhatsApp and restricted their interactions to the most basic level.
Joelle's intentions were unclear—perhaps she wanted to show off her relationship or something else. Regardless, Lisa refused to let a stranger interfere with her life.
"Let's go!" He said to Joelle after seeing that they had added each other on WhatsApp.
She seemed hesitant to leave, letting out a soft "oh."
"You don't have to leave, Aunt Joelle." Lisa's words made him glance up sharply.
Martha immediately chimed in, "Yes, Jojo. You're welcome to stay."
