Chapter 25
Hazel’s POV:
During my time in prison. I met several people with special abilities.
They had all received favors from me to varying degrees, and a few had agreed to come find me for shelter after their release.
The man before me was one of them.
I pulled a bank card from my bag and handed it over: “There’s some money on this card. You handle the arrangements.”
He reached out to take the bank card and smiled: “You trust me this much?”
I grinned: “When you employ someone, trust them. But you should also understand the consequences of betraying my trust.”
Rowan raised an eyebrow and examined the bank card.
“There’s a new movie recently, ‘Urban Legend,‘ worth investing in,” I mentioned casually, lifting my hot coffee to blow on it gently.
“A movie?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Mm, I acted in a role.”
“Female lead?”
“Supporting role, thirty seconds of screen time.”
“…Alright then.”
He suddenly asked: “Do you have enough money to spend?”
I looked up at him: “There will be more and more.”
After saying this; I took a sip of coffee.
Since Lady Eleanor’s illness was cured, more and more patients had been seeking me out.
These people were all wealthy and noble, prominent aristocratic Alphas in the pack.
The richer they were, the more they feared death, and the more likely they were to contract strange diseases rarely seen.
These illnesses might not be fatal, but they could make life worse than death. Especially those Alphas who were “haunted by unclean things“-once parasitized, it was very difficult to completely eradicate.
Aunt Karina had already conveyed requests from several people seeking medical treatment, but I didn’t treat just anyone’s illness.

Chapter 25
I had left this matter to Maxwell, having him screen patients according to my standards.
Combined with income from the black market, I wasn’t worried about money anymore.
Hearing me say this, Rowan didn’t press further.
If I said I had money, then I had money.
“Don’t worry, within a year, I’ll multiply your assets several times over,” Rowan said with a confident smile, making his promise.
My expression remained unchanged as I replied flatly: “You’d better.”
Rowan had been admitted to the pack’s top financial university at sixteen, building assets of over ten billion through his own entrepreneurship and investments.
But at the height of his success, he was betrayed by his most trusted friend and caught up in economic crime.
Normally, he and I should never have crossed paths in prison.
But because I served as the prison doctor, I could interact with people like him who were held in special areas.
I always had special treatment in prison, completely different from ordinary inmates.
After all, I saved that place a lot of trouble and solved many problems that gave the guards headaches.
Rowan had just been released a few days ago. When he sent me a message, I recognized him immediately.
We were chatting enthusiastically about recent plans when we were interrupted.
The man wore a well–tailored suit, his long legs moving steadily, his aura cold and oppressive like a pressure wave.
As he approached, the entire café’s atmosphere grew heavier.
Rowan looked up at him and deliberately asked me: “Your friend?”
I also glanced up at the man: “Not familiar.”
Rowan said “Oh” and was about to continue speaking, but paused and frowned with irritation: “Sir, we’re having a conversation here. Don’t you think it’s rude to stand there like a telephone pole?”
The other party’s tone was unceremonious, carrying commanding pressure: “Please leave for a moment. I have something to discuss with her.”
Rowan didn’t move, looking at me.
I knew that if Dominic didn’t get to speak with me today, he wouldn’t give up.
So I nodded.
Only then did Rowan stand up and walk away with some wariness.
