Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 134

**The Heart I Buried for You by Serene Lockwood**
**Chapter 134: The Disgusting Pair**

Peggie felt her heart drop like a stone, her breath hitching in her throat as the horrifying truth settled over her like a suffocating blanket. The dread that had been simmering within her now boiled over—Luis was here, and he had come for revenge, vengeance for Deanna.

“No, Mr. Eaton!” she exclaimed, her voice trembling with urgency. “You have to understand! Both Deanna and I were kidnapped at that time. There’s absolutely no way I could have been involved!”

Before she could say more, Jorge stepped in front of her, his presence a protective barrier against the impending storm. He squared his shoulders, determination etched on his face. “Peggie is a good woman,” he asserted, his voice steady despite the chaos around them. “I’m a respected doctor. We both have morals. We would never stoop so low as to engage in something so shameless.”

Luis’s laughter sliced through the tension, cold and mocking, as a sneer curled at the corners of his lips. “Morals?” he scoffed, his eyes glinting with contempt. “You two certainly seem to enjoy your little escapades in bed for people who claim to have morals. Only a fool like Jake would fall for your pathetic tricks.”

Peggie’s fingers clenched together tightly, anxiety coursing through her veins. She could protest the kidnapping until she was blue in the face, but the secret she shared with Jorge was a different matter altogether—one that Luis was all too aware of. If Jake ever discovered the truth, it would shatter her world, leaving her with nothing.

Luis’s gaze shifted to the doorway, a silent command that Aaron promptly obeyed. The heavy wooden door swung open, and moments later, two rogues were ushered inside by the werewolf guards, their bodies battered and broken. Their mouths were stuffed with rags, their faces swollen and bruised, their clothes in tatters that hung off their frames like rags of shame.

The sight was grotesque, their features so disfigured that Peggie could barely recognize them. When one rogue had his gag removed and caught sight of Peggie and Jorge, despair flooded his eyes, and he began to weep. “Ms. Pearson, Mr. Gilbert!” he cried, his voice cracking with desperation. “You promised! If I completed this job, I’d get paid and a safe way out. We’re done now! Please, just let us go!”

The other rogue nodded vigorously, his fear palpable. “We quit! Please, stop hitting me! I’m sorry! I realize now I was wrong!”

Luis’s expression darkened, his demeanor shifting as he slowly rose to his full height. The aura of a top Alpha radiated from him, filling the villa with a chilling weight that pressed down on everyone present, making it hard to breathe.

With deliberate, measured steps, he advanced toward Jorge, each footfall heavy with menace, as if he were crushing the very hearts of those who dared to witness his approach. Jorge’s eyes widened in terror, panic coursing through him as he stumbled backward, desperate to escape the impending doom.

Then, without warning—Bang!

Luis’s foot crashed down onto Jorge’s chest with brutal force. The pureblood Alpha’s strength was overwhelming, sending Jorge hurtling backward into the glass wine cabinet. The shattering of glass echoed like a thunderclap, shards exploding outward in a dazzling but deadly display.
