r 135 Please Save My Baby!
Third–person POV:
Luis felt the violent surge of tage behind him. He simply shrugged, his steps loose and unhurried, as if none of it mattered. Walking forward, he clapped Jake on the shoulder.
“This woman’s yours to deal with.”
At the doorway, Luis turned lazily, his tone filled with sarcasm. “She didn’t humiliate you enough,” he said with a smirk. “Maybel should have someone make you a hat that screams ‘cuckold‘ a little louder.”
Jake’s eyes burned with venom as he glared at the pair in front of him.
He felt like nothing but a complete fool.
Jake slammed the door shut, blocking out the last sliver of light. Slowly, he walked toward Peggie.
Her scent was in disarray. The weak, innocent mask she wore shattered into pieces.
She stared at Jake as he walked closer. His eyes, which locked on her, were filled with cruelty and not a hint of mercy.
Peggie’s heart shattered apart like glass.
It was over.
She wanted to beg for his mercy and explained herself.
Peggie wanted to say that Jorge was lying and asked Jake not to believe him.
Extreme terror flooded her heart, rising like a tide, squeezed her throat. Her lips and teeth trembled involuntarily. Tears filled her
eyes.
Smack!
Jake’s slap landed hard across her face, carrying the brutal force of an Alpha.
A half–blood like Peggie could never withstand that kind of strength.
Her cheek was in such pain, she felt like her face was breaking apart. The pain was so sharp she nearly blacked out.
A sudden, sharp pain tore through her abdomen like a crashing wave. Moments later, streaks of bright red blood began to slowly flow down her legs.
Still clinging to a final thread of hope, Peggie begged, “Jake, please save my baby.”
Luis’s POV:
Back in the car, Aaron glanced at me curiously.
“Alpha, why didn’t you finish those two off yourself? Why call him?”
I leaned back in the seat, legs crossed.

“Peggie cares about Jake more than anything. So why not let the man she loves be the one to end her story? Remember this: if you really want to destroy someone, don’t kill them. Break their heart.”
More importantly, once Jake saw Peggie’s true face, he’d have no reason to stay near Deanna.
I’ve never claimed to be honorable.
I want Deanna.
She should see no one but me.
Thinking of my destined mate, I couldn’t help but smile a little.
I pulled out my phone and dialed her number.
The line rang and rang.
Seconds ticked by, but no one answered.
My brow furrowed.
Is that piggy still asleep?
Or maybe she’s too exhausted after last night?
Did I go too rough on her?
Truth was, I’d never been the kind of man driven by desire.
But ever since Deanna appeared, everything had changed.
As long as she’s near me, even if it’s just the way she tucks her hair behind her ear, a glance, or her hand brushing against mine, I lose all control.
Her scent alone can destroy every ounce of willpower I take pride in.
