Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 152

**Chapter 152: Sit on His Lap**

In the bustling atmosphere of the dimly lit room, an Omega clad in a daringly short skirt hurriedly made her way toward Maurice, her urgency evident in her every step.

“Mr. Gross, Mr. Gross!” she exclaimed, her voice tinged with panic.

The sight that greeted her was alarming; white foam was bubbling out of Maurice’s nose and mouth, an unsettling spectacle that sent ripples of concern through the crowd.

Yet, the onlookers were not just any random group; they were the core members of the formidable pack, all holding ranks comparable to or even superior to Maurice’s.

But as they looked on, a chilling indifference settled over them.

After all, this was merely a punishment sanctioned by the alpha of the Mooncrown Pack, and the collective sentiment was one of apathy.

With the healing capabilities inherent to werewolves, the alcohol that had led to Maurice’s current state was nothing more than a minor inconvenience—a mere stomach pump, really. Even in the unlikely event of his demise, Luis would ensure that everything would be swept under the rug.

Impatience seeped into the voice of one of the members. “Then call someone to carry him to the hospital. You can accompany him and take care of it.”

The Omega, sensing the weight of the moment, dared not utter another word. Instead, she quickly summoned two werewolf attendants who efficiently dragged Maurice away, leaving the atmosphere charged with a mix of relief and anticipation.

As soon as they departed, the next round of the game commenced, the tension in the room shifting back to the cards.

Deanna watched the scene unfold, realizing that with Maurice gone, there was little reason for her to linger any longer. She leaned closer to Maggie, her voice barely above a whisper, “Let’s slip out after this round.”

Maggie nodded in agreement, her eyes darting around the room. “Okay.”

However, just as the words left Maggie’s lips, Leo Larson, clad in a garish floral shirt, pointed an accusatory finger directly at Deanna.

Caught off guard, Deanna’s eyes widened slightly. She cautiously raised the corner of her card, her heart racing with uncertainty.

Maggie, glancing over her shoulder, gasped audibly, her expression shifting from surprise to dismay.

Deanna’s card was even worse than Maggie’s, a stroke of misfortune that seemed to plague her tonight.

Leo, with a grin that oozed mischief, commanded, “Turn it over.”

As Deanna revealed her card, Leo erupted with triumph. “I win!”

Deanna froze momentarily, her mind racing as she processed the implications of his words.

A second later, Leo’s grin widened, and he declared with a playful malice, “Alright, pretty girl, here’s your little punishment. Pick any man here and sit on his lap.”

Deanna’s mind went blank, a whirlwind of thoughts crashing against each other. She had not anticipated a punishment of this nature.

Desperation clawed at her as she nervously glanced toward Luis, who sat there, seemingly unfazed, as if her predicament was of no concern to him.

Maggie leaned in closer, her voice low and urgent. “Deanna, I think you should just pick someone. Otherwise, you might end up like Mr. Gross. These people don’t seem easy to mess with.”

A sly glint danced in Leo’s eyes, a predator savoring his victory.

“Come sit on my lap. I don’t mind at all,” he taunted, his voice dripping with insincerity.

Maggie rolled her eyes, silently judging the man.

You’re practically drooling over her.

If Deanna were to comply, he’d likely take advantage of her the moment she made contact with his lap.
