Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 248

**Chapter 248: No Filter**

**Deanna’s POV:**

The boy stood defiantly, fists planted firmly on his hips, a miniature warrior ready for battle.

“I told you to stay put, and what did you do? You moved! Little bro, forget it—let’s just unleash the storm on this disobedient lady!” he declared, his voice brimming with mischief.

His twin, always eager to join the fray, clapped his hands in excitement. “Yeah! Let’s see who can hit her more times!”

Both of these little rascals, armed with their plastic rifles, aimed them directly at me, their faces lit with gleeful anticipation.

I felt a bubbling mix of outrage and amusement rise within me, almost making me laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

Two utterly spoiled terrors, running wild with no brakes and no rules—what a delightful combination.

“You keep this up, and I will get mad,” I warned, trying to sound stern, but the words barely left my lips before I realized it was a mistake.

Their eyes lit up as if I had just handed them a gift.

“Target’s aggro! Snipers ready—time to teach her a lesson!”

My heart raced, climbing into my throat.

After all, I was newly pregnant, and a barrage of plastic beads wasn’t just a nuisance; it was downright dangerous.

I quickly scanned the room, my gaze landing on a long-handled broom propped against the wall. Without a second thought, I took a step toward it, my instincts kicking in.

**Third-person POV:**

Across the corridor, in the grand ballroom, Luis was engaged in conversation, one hand casually tucked in his pocket, his tall frame relaxed yet commanding.

Suddenly, a commotion caught his attention. His gaze flicked over, then fixed on a familiar silhouette that stood out amidst the crowd.

There, at his side, was Vince Vaughn, the Alpha of the Wasteland Pack, bustling about, eager for a moment of recognition from Mooncrown’s heir.

As Luis’s focus shifted, Vince noticed and chuckled, a proud smile spreading across his face.

“Those are my twin boys. Always causing chaos. It warms a father’s heart to see them finally working together,” he said, his tone brimming with paternal pride.

Luis raised an eyebrow, his expression cooling. “Your sons,” he replied, his voice flat, a hint of ice creeping in.

Vince, blissfully oblivious to the chill in the air, continued to preen. “Mr. Eaton, they take after me—handsome, right?”

Luis’s eyes turned to steel. “A shame they also inherited your empty head,” he shot back, a smirk playing on his lips.
