Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 296

**Title: The Heart I Buried for You by Serene Lockwood**
**Chapter 296: I Don’t Know**

**Deanna’s POV:**

The afternoon sun streamed through the office windows, casting a warm glow over my cluttered desk. I had returned to my work, my mind still buzzing from the earlier phone call with Violet. She had mentioned she was at a nearby luxury store for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, promising to drop by afterward.

As the minutes ticked by, I focused on my tasks, my fingers flying over the keyboard as I completed my third file. Just as I was about to dive into the next one, the door swung open, and in walked Violet, a radiant smile on her face, two steaming cups of milk tea in hand.

“This is my first time visiting since your promotion to general manager,” she announced, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

I pushed myself up from my chair and made my way over to the inviting sofa. “How’s the office treating you?” I asked, genuinely curious.

Violet scanned the room, taking in the decor and the view outside. “It’s not on a high floor, but the location is fantastic, and the view? Absolutely lovely.”

A smile crept across my face as I accepted one of the drinks from her. I settled onto the sofa, eager for a moment of camaraderie. I stuck the straw into the cup and took a generous sip. The sweetness flooded my senses, and I couldn’t suppress the smile that spread across my lips.

Violet’s voice cut through my blissful moment. “Just a reminder, you’re pregnant. Don’t overdo it with the tea.”

I rolled my eyes playfully. “Ever since I found out, my diet has been nothing but healthy. I’m so tired of it all.”

She laughed, shaking her head. “Your mom is treating you like some kind of national treasure. It’s like she’s on a mission to ensure you’re the healthiest pregnant woman on the planet.”

I couldn’t help but nod in agreement. Kathryn had transformed every meal into a carefully curated selection, each plate laden with at least three types of werewolf herbs, all for the sake of our little one’s development. Even when I was at the office, she arranged for lunch to be delivered, ensuring I adhered to her strict dietary regime.

“By the way,” Violet said, tilting her head slightly, “you haven’t been on set in a while, have you?”

I leaned back, feeling a twinge of concern. “No, I haven’t. Is there anything I can do to help with your projects?”

Violet shrugged, her demeanor relaxed. “It’s the life of an actress. I even attended a dinner for some high-ranking werewolves last night.”

A flicker of worry crossed my mind. “Are you sure you’re managing everything alright?”
