**Chapter 302: What’s Your Plan?**
**Deanna’s POV:**
As I gradually peeled my eyelids apart, the world around me came into focus.
Luis was there, his gaze fixed intently on me, brimming with a depth of emotion that was almost palpable. It felt as if he was peering into the very core of my being, and I couldn’t help but feel a flutter in my chest.
Tentatively, I reached out, my fingers brushing against his forehead. The warmth that had once radiated from him had faded, leaving behind a coolness that brought an unexpected relief.
The heaviness that had settled on my heart seemed to lift, and I took a deep breath, savoring the moment.
Luis’s lips curved into a gentle smile, and he took my hand, bringing it to his mouth, where he pressed a soft kiss against my skin. “All thanks to you,” he murmured, his voice low and sincere.
His words sent a rush of memories flooding back from the night before, and I felt a wave of embarrassment wash over me. It was my first experience of that kind, and even the thought of it now made my cheeks flush with warmth.
Luis’s smile widened, and he rolled over to face me, propping himself up on one elbow. His voice dropped to a sultry whisper, laced with mischief. “Next time, let me take the lead.”
“Stop talking!” I retorted, both mortified and annoyed, instinctively covering his mouth with my hand to silence him.
Luis chuckled softly beneath my palm, the vibrations sending a delightful tickle through my fingers.
After a brief pause, he gently pried my hand away, wrapping my wrist around the back of his neck. His tone shifted to something more serious as he said, “Deanna, I have to take a business trip. When I return, I’m planning to visit your mom at the Mistbane Pack.”
Confusion clouded my mind as I blinked at him, trying to decipher the implications of his words.
What did that mean for us?
Luis held my gaze, his smile unwavering as he continued, “What kind of wedding do you want?”
The question caught me off guard, and I found myself at a loss for words. My heart raced as I replied, “Whatever you want, I’ll make it happen, okay?”
A rush of emotion surged within me, and my eyes began to sting with unshed tears.
It felt as though my life, which had been on pause for far too long, was finally gearing up for a new chapter.
I was about to become part of a family.
A family that was entirely mine.
After rising from the bed, Luis informed me that the Mooncrown Pack’s overseas company had an urgent matter that required his immediate attention.
The private jet was ready, its flight plan already cleared for takeoff.
I had a morning meeting to attend, so I couldn’t accompany him to the airport.
