Marked By the Pureblood Alpha (Deanna and Luis) novel Chapter 315

**The Heart I Buried for You by Serene Lockwood**
**Chapter 315: Decided To Leave Nordvale**

**Erik’s POV:**

Despite the years of camaraderie that Luis and I shared, the weight of our roles often forced me to refer to him as “Mr. Eaton” in public settings. It was a constant reminder of the hierarchy that existed between us, one that was dictated by bloodlines and status. He was a pureblood Alpha, a title that came with both respect and a burden that was hard to shake off.

But today, my frustration boiled over, and I found myself addressing him by his first name, a small act of rebellion that felt both liberating and dangerous.

“You really don’t care if you die, do you?” I shot at him, my voice laced with incredulity.

“I saw the news about the press conference too. Once you’re stable, find a chance to explain everything to Deanna again,” I added, my tone softening slightly as I thought of her.

Luis slowly opened his eyes, revealing a depth of pain I had never seen before. “She’s hurting. I don’t want her to face anything alone,” he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.

A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I regarded him. In that moment, it struck me just how profoundly he was in love with Deanna. Here was the formidable pureblood Alpha of the Mooncrown Pack, a man who could command entire territories with just a word, yet he had chosen to surrender his heart to one Omega. It was both admirable and tragic.

Inside the confines of the car, I focused on bandaging Luis’s wound, doing my best to tend to his injuries with the limited supplies at hand. The reality of the situation was that anything more complex would have to wait until we reached a proper medical facility.

Once I had finished, I carefully stowed the medical kit away and climbed out of the vehicle. My gaze fell upon Aaron, who was anxiously pacing nearby, his worry palpable in the air. “If his wound gets worse again, I don’t care what it takes—tie him up if you have to, and drag him to the hospital,” I instructed firmly, hoping to instill some urgency in him.

Aaron’s eyes darted nervously to Luis, still resting with his eyes closed. He swallowed hard, clearly intimidated by the prospect. “I-I don’t dare…” he stammered, his voice quivering.

I frowned, my frustration mounting. “Are you going to wait until his arm is completely ruined before you dare to do anything?” I snapped, my voice rising. “At this rate, he’ll be dead long before any curse comes true!”

**Third-person POV:**

Outside the grand main house of the Mistbane Pack, the atmosphere was tense. Deanna parked the car with a sense of urgency, her mind racing as she relayed a few quick instructions to the guards stationed at the entrance. With a deep breath, she steeled herself and stepped into the living room, the familiar surroundings offering little comfort.

The clock on the wall read 15:13 on Tuesday, December 16.

As she entered, Kathryn, who had been seated on the couch, sprang to her feet the moment she heard the footsteps echoing through the room.
