**Chapter 316: Meeting Again**
Third-person POV:
“A Rolls-Royce? Who on earth could that be?”
The werewolf sentinels stationed at the entrance were known for their unwavering vigilance, allowing no one to pass unless they had a compelling reason. Unless, of course, the visitor was someone of considerable importance…
Kathryn’s heart raced as realization struck her like a bolt of lightning. “Could it possibly be Mr. Eaton?”
In a heartbeat, she leaped to her feet, her pulse quickening with a blend of hope and anxiety that coursed through her veins.
“Where was he when that old witch from the Mooncrown Pack was tormenting you? He didn’t bother to show up after the press conference, and now he dares to show his face here?”
Deanna, attuned to her daughter’s rising anger, quickly grasped Kathryn’s hand with a firm, steady grip, a silent attempt to ground her amidst the swirling emotions.
“Mom.”
Kathryn turned back, her brow knitting together in confusion as she searched her mother’s face for clarity.
A flicker of cold determination ignited in Deanna’s eyes, a storm brewing beneath her calm facade.
“Ruth cares about only two things: Luis and the reputation of the Mooncrown Pack’s pureblood lineage. If that’s how she chooses to navigate this world, then I’ll make sure she loses everything she holds dear.”
“Deanna… what do you mean?”
Deanna rose from her seat, her demeanor sharp and resolute, each word articulated with a precision that left no room for doubt. “You need to go to Euron first. I’m not leaving until I witness that woman’s downfall with my own eyes.”
Meanwhile, in the passenger seat of the sleek vehicle, Aaron cast a nervous glance at the man seated behind him. Hesitation gripped him for a moment before he ventured, “Alpha, should I reach out to Ms. Wiley on your behalf?”
“Not necessary.”
“You can’t just sit here indefinitely. If she doesn’t emerge soon, you should at least consider heading to a hospital.”
Luis slowly lifted his gaze, his eyes icy and piercing as they locked onto Aaron’s, a silent command that made Aaron clamp his mouth shut, silencing any further protests.
Just then, Aaron’s attention was drawn to a figure emerging from the pack house.
“M-Ms. Wiley is coming out.”
Luis turned his head sharply, his focus narrowing on the woman stepping into view. Deanna was dressed in a delicate white chiffon blouse that flowed gracefully over her frame, paired with a fitted gray utility skirt that accentuated her slim waist.
Even at three months pregnant, her abdomen remained flat, betraying no signs of the life growing within her.
Her hair, loose and softly curled, cascaded down her chest like a shimmering waterfall, fluttering gently in the evening breeze, giving her an ethereal and vibrant appearance.
Despite the throbbing pain in his shoulder, Luis opened the car door and stepped outside, determination propelling him forward.
As Deanna’s gaze fell upon him, she took in the sight of him leaning heavily against the car door.
It was then she fully registered the toll that recent events had taken on him. His complexion was alarmingly pale, a stark contrast to the vibrant man she once knew.
