Chapter 65 Winning the Deal
Deanna’s POV:
For a moment, I had no words.
Philip, that sly old fox, never missed a thing.
Still, I wasn’t ready for him to find out about me and Luis.
n the past, Philip had used me more than once, pushing Jake to open doors for him.
knew exactly how much Jake had tolerated just to keep Philip happy. How he put up with it, I’ll never understand.
lifted my eyes slowly. “What could there possibly be between us?”
Philip didn’t press further. Instead, he stood and went straight to the point.

‘Euron’s luxury brand Muses is about to enter the domestic market. If we can get them into our malls, it will be a huge boost for
is.”
Philip stared right at me. “I want you to take the lead on this.”
froze. Muses was Euron’s top luxury line. Until now, they had never entered the domestic market except for high–end flagship nalls or exclusive luxury centers.
For them to choose our malls? The chances were slim.
Which meant the challenge was big.
t looked like that eight billion investment had only made Philip’s ambition grow wilder.
Because of my hesitation, he dangled bait. “If you close this deal, the position of group director is yours.”
My brows lifted.
So Philip was aware of what I wanted.
He knew how to tempt me, and that title was the perfect lure.
I could give it a try.
Before I could respond, Philip added, “This shouldn’t be too difficult for you. I’ve already found out that the principal of Muses is friends with Jake. As long as you go to Jake-”
I cut him off, annoyed. “Dad, how I handle the talks is up to me. You’ve always cared about the results, haven’t you?”
There was no way I would ever reach out to Jake.
Philip gave me a long, knowing look, then patted my shoulder.
“Alright then. I’ll wait for your good news.”

And with that, he walked out.
I had done some homework on Muses.

The brand had been around in Euron for more than 100 years. It used to serve only the royal family and high society.
In recent years, it had shifted toward younger clients, but it was still a luxury label reserved for the wealthy.
Bringing Muses into the local market meant they would care a lot about the class of the mall.
Our mall was a mixed–use shopping center, not one built just for luxury stores.
Getting Muses to move in would be extremely difficult.
But if they did, it would show our businesses had taken a big step forward..
Just then, Luis’s handsome face flashed across my mind.
He was a pure–blood Alpha. If he were willing to help me, things would move twice as fast.
But I quickly shook my head.
Because of the investment, I had already become his woman without realizing what I was getting into.
If I begged him again, I’d lose every bit of dignity.
Forget it. I needed to think of another way.
Outside, the sky had gone dark.
It was close to 7 p.m.
Earlier that afternoon, Luis had texted me. “Come to my
house.”
When I left the office, I thought it over, then drove toward Hollyvale Estate.
On the drive over, my feelings were all over the place.
The last time I went to Hollyvale Estate, I was desperate, begging for his help.
