Marrying Without My Eight-Year Boyfriend Knowing novel Chapter 27

Alex's entire family caused a commotion, shouting and arguing, giving everyone a headache.

They chattered endlessly about me.

"This woman has no morals at all, keeping a mistress is such a big deal."

"Exactly, it's normal for men to look for someone else."

"She’s spoiled by her family's wealth."

"Yeah, if it were me, I’d beat her up, women only listen when you hit them."

People of all ages pointed fingers at me, without an ounce of shame.

I thought by showing them the truth, they might realize their wrongs, but I was wrong. Only people with morals, like my relatives and neighbors, had normal shame. Their family had none.

Expecting a person without shame, with utterly distorted values, to understand the basic principles of right and wrong was more difficult than climbing to the heavens.

I chose to stay silent and turned the volume up to the maximum, showing each picture one by one.

The embarrassing, intimate words soon broke Alex's family down.

"Turn it off now!"

"Turn it off or I’ll smash it!"

A large group of them charged towards the screen to destroy it. The security and hired people stopped them, and I called the police. Soon, officers arrived to maintain order.

Alex’s mom: "Officer, they’re bullying us because they have money!"

She slammed her hands on her thighs, then lay down and started rolling on the ground, yelling that our family was bullying them, while they were just humble farmers with no way to voice their grievances.

Shameless.

I showed the police the evidence, including the things they had just broken.

The police looked at the mess in the yard and were ready to take them away.

Alex was arrested back in his hometown and brought to the police station.

He denied having other photos and videos, but the police searched through his phone and computer for a long time before finding them.

There were photos of me showering and changing clothes from every angle, filling an entire folder.

It had started from when we first got together, and I couldn’t bear to think if he had posted any of them online.

My parents reassured me that they wouldn’t let him off easily. I spent an entire night waiting for news.

The police informed me that Alex had not dared to post anything online, but they found from his chat records that he had mentioned planning to post the videos online for money at the right moment. He also threatened me for money.

Alex’s message: "If she listens to me, I won’t use them to threaten her, but if she doesn’t, she better not blame me. It’s her own fault for not giving me the money."

"I’m not asking for much, just fifty or sixty thousand."

Now, Alex had no hope of getting out soon. He would have to pay the price for his actions.
