The smell of smoke filled my nostrils as we moved forward. It didn’t take long for the shrill cries of wounded vampires to resound around the forest.
Several birds flew above our heads in a desperate effort to escape the site of the blast.
I stood in the middle of the group while Aceco held my hand. As for Rhett, he stood in front of us with no weapons out except for his claws.
Eventually, we caught a view of the mountain that the humans had blown up. The mountain still stood tall but the parts which had caves where the vampires resided were now reduced to rubble.
However, several vampires took advantage of the smoke surrounding the forest, which acted as a shade of sorts against the sunlight. They jumped down from the mountain, snarling aggressively at the pack soldiers.
The pack soldiers numbered more than two hundred, which should be enough against the vampires coming out of the mountain. But we needed as many of them as possible alive for the final battle within the underworld.
Suddenly, Aceco flew up, leaving me under Rhett’s care. She stretched out her arms, muttering a spell. A few vampires tried jumping up to take her down, but they were shot down by the arrows and bullets of the pack soldiers.
After a while, Aceco opened her eyes, causing a burst of white light to spread out of her body. Things didn’t end there as a burst of wind spread around the forest, causing the smoke from the explosion to disperse quicker than it arrived.
With their cover out of the way, it didn’t take long for the sun to do its work and burn the vampires on the ground to ash. The explosion had fallen all the trees around the mountain, leaving no room for escape.
I glanced up at Aceco just then, wondering if what she did just now didn’t technically count as ’killing’. But oh well, it wasn’t her fault that the vampires were vulnerable to sunlight.
"For RavenWood!" Suddenly, Rhett roared out, causing the pack soldiers around us to roar as well.
"For werewolf kind!" They roared back in response.
With that, they charged towards the entrance to the underworld, their roars almost harmonizing with the whirling of helicopter blades above us.
The entrance was a wide stairway carved on the surface that led underground. It wasn’t lit up so we had no choice but to rely on Aceco’s magic to light up the way. With my special ability, we were able to pinpoint vampires and attack them swiftly before they could even know what was happening.
Soon enough, the elven king and fairy Queen arrived at the entrance to the underworld with a significant number of the allied forces. The Underworld was becoming more crowded by the second.

.
It seemed more than an hour had passed since we passed through the entrance to the underworld.
Right before my eyes, lives were being lost from all sides. The human soldiers were the most vulnerable, even with their military training and advanced weapons, and fell like flies even though the fey tried hard to protect them.
At one point, Aceco and I ran to a corner, trying our best to ignore the chaos around us. Vampires clawed and snarled while spells flew every which way from the fey soldiers. As for the wolves, the soldiers slashed with their weapons, claws, and even teeth as some transformed into their wolf form.
"We don’t have much time! There’s a chance that the vampire Lord is already aware of our presence." Aceco yelled at me amidst all the noise around us.
Barely two seconds after she said that, a fireball crashed directly above our heads, forcing Aceco to create a force shield above us.
We glanced in the direction in which the fireball had come from just in time to spot the Elven king in action. He held out his staff, using it to summon and control every element available for different elemental attacks.
