Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 197

Sebastian inwardly let out a bitter laugh. Then, he gently shook his head. "I'm not alone. Nicholas is here, isn't he? Don't worry, I'll rest for a couple of days and get discharged."

"Alright then." Roxanne put on a look of disappointment, but inside, she was secretly jumping for joy.

Sebastian had been watching her the entire time, so he saw all the changes in her expression. Her thoughts were written all over her face. The difference between loving someone and not loving someone was painfully stark.

Yes, at this moment, Sebastian already realized Roxanne didn't love him anymore. If he didn't want to get hurt, he should let her go. But he couldn't.

Roxanne quickly finished eating and stayed in the hospital ward a little longer. By then, it was already 8:00 pm—not too early, not too late.

She coughed twice and said in an exaggerated manner, "It's getting late. I should head back. I still need to get my study materials together."

Sebastian stood up like a gentleman. "Alright. I'll have the driver take you back." Realizing she might reject the offer, he quickly added, "I'd be worried if you went back alone."

Thus, Roxanne didn't refuse.

He even walked her to the door. As she turned to leave, he reached out and took her hand.

Roxanne looked at him in confusion. Sebastian looked at her intently and asked, "Will you come see me again tomorrow?"

Roxanne sighed inwardly. Right now, Sebastian looked like someone desperately fighting for affection. It was truly pitiful and heartbreaking. "I'll come to see you once I've finished sorting out my college records."

Sebastian's face relaxed a little. "Okay, I'll wait for you."

The team was made up of two men and two women, all around 30 years old. They were all attractive, exuding confidence and pheromones with every move.

Sebastian could sense that all four had a certain quality in common, but he couldn't put it into words. As someone completely inexperienced in relationships, he naturally had no idea what it was. But Nicholas understood perfectly.

These were classic players—men and women who, relying on their looks and personal charm, could lure in anyone they wanted. These four had already mastered the psychology of romance. As long as they set their sights on somebody, that person would always take the bait.

Nicholas was the one who found them. He had offered them a generous payment along with a strict confidentiality agreement that was so detailed and ironclad it was almost outrageous. They were all from elite circles and fully understood just how serious and binding that agreement was.

But they didn't mind. Nicholas' payment was beyond generous, and teaching a total rookie how to date? That was their speciality. As long as they didn't reveal anything about the employer or mention them at all, they could basically ignore the agreement.

Still, they were all curious about what kind of person would spend this much money just to learn how to date.
