Josefina was about to step forward to inspect the situation when Lena suddenly lost it, lashing out at her with wild, clawing hands.
"I'm gonna kill you, kill you!"
Josefina flung open the door and shouted, "Get the sedative!"
Asher, quick on the draw, fired a tranquilizer dart at Lena, forcing her into a subdued calm.
Josefina scooped up the bugs on the floor and bagged them for research.
She sighed heavily and said, "Lena's coughing up blood and these creepy-crawlies. Someone's definitely been messing with her insides."
Oliver wrapped his arm around her shoulders, whispering comfort, "You did great, really. And you got so much useful info out of her."
Taking Josefina's hand, Oliver suggested, "Let's step out; Asher can handle things here."
With a nod, she followed Oliver out of the room.
After the hypnosis session, Josefina ordered an investigation based on the sketched likeness of the man.
...
Oliver bought Josefina dinner, urging her to eat.
"Josie, have some food. I gotta make a call."
Josefina murmured an acknowledgment while spooning up her rice, focusing on her meal.
Oliver stepped out with his phone, redialing to get back to Harry.
"Mr. Oliver," Harry spoke, "Ruby tried to make a run for it. Should we keep her in Westwood, or let her go?"
Under the night sky, Oliver's eyes narrowed, his tone ominous, "Let her go join Billy."
Billy was having a rough time, tangled in another money mess.
Ruby crossing paths with Billy would be like a dog-eat-dog showdown.
That kind of drama would make for quite the show for Josefina.
Oliver hung up and called George, "Send me the latest on Dominic's whereabouts."
