CHAPTER 11
I go upstairs and the twins follow me without saying anything to my parents, but I could see the way Gage and Arlo were looking at them. Honestly, they looked like they wanted to kick their asses. Which made me even more scared.
But once we got to my room I closed the door and I turned the TV on to drown out some of the
conversation.
My room still wasn’t completely clean so I started doing that while the guys were helping me.
“I thought you were just going to drop me off.” I said.
“Yeah. We were planning on just dropping you off. But then we thought that we didn’t have
anything else to do today so we wanted to stay.” Arlo explained.
“And do what?” I asked.
“Have a movie day. One like we used to have.” He said.
“Oh. One of those.” I said.
“Yeah. One of those. Except this one will be at your house.”
“Is there some reason why you two seem to be extra clingy to me right now? If this has anything to do with last night, I told you not to worry about that. I was just being stupid.” I said.
“We told you why. Now let’s get this room cleaned up so we can start our movie night.” Gage said.
So we finished cleaning the room and we laid down on the bed, luckily it was a large bed, to watch
movies for the rest of the day.
It was actually a really nice relaxing day and I didn’t remember the last time I spent a day like this at my house.
I mean, whenever I’m here I feel like I’m always walking on eggshells. Especially if they are here as well. If my family isn’t here then I feel like I am still walking on eggshells because I never know when they are going to be home.
We stayed in my room the whole day, watching movie after movie and I was wondering how long the twins were going to be hanging around for.
But we also heard people walking past my bedroom. It was always one person at a time and they would stop out the front of my room, obviously trying to listen in to what was happening in my
room.

By the sound of the footsteps I could tell who was the one standing outside.

If it was my parents the twins would ignore it but when I told them it was Spencer, Arlo got up and opened the door catching Spencer with his head up against the door trying to listen in
“Is there something we can do for you?” Arlo asked as Spencer looked in at me and Gage who were sitting on the bed with the TV on that was on the wall on the other side of the room from my
bed.
“No. I heard you guys were here and I was just wondering what was going on. You two never come to the house so I thought Trinity might have been in trouble.” Spencer said.
“Why would she be in trouble? She’s our best friend.” Gage said.
“I know. I just thought that it was strange you guys were hanging out here instead of the packhouse.” Spencer said. Gage looked at me, but I wasn’t saying anything. I looked down at the
bedding, but I knew the twins would know something was wrong because I wasn’t fighting back.
I also knew that I couldn’t fight back because I didn’t want to get beaten as soon as the twins left. I
didn’t know what the f**k I was meant to do here. I was damned if I did and damned if I didn’t.
“It’s been a little hectic at the packhouse since Asher got back. We wanted peace and quiet.” Arlo
said, while he was looking at me.
“Alright. Asher was asking where you two were. I’ll let him know that you’re all watching movies.”
Spencer said, obviously lying.
Asher wasn’t wondering where they were. Spencer just needed to make up an excuse that wasn’t
going to get him in trouble for spying.
Arlo closed the door without saying anything else and he walked back over to the bed and we kept
watching TV without them saying anything about my family.
I was starting to get the feeling that they knew something was off in the house.
Maybe they thought I broke down last night because of my family. Not because of their brother.
I really don’t know. But honestly, I think I broke down because of everything. My whole life is feeling a little f****d up right now.
Mom came to the door to ask if we wanted dinner that night but Gage declined and he offered to
go and get dinner for us three from in town.
So when he got back we sat in my room eating and talking and laughing. But we couldn’t hear anyone else in the house.
I knew they were down stairs but they were really nervous having the twins in the house.

I wonder if dad has snuck down to the basement to remove the chains that are hanging from the
ceiling.
After dinner Arlo had to go back to the packhouse but Gage didn’t look like he had any intentions of going anywhere, so we ended up falling asleep in my bed, which wasn’t unusual for us, while we
were still watching movies.
It was a pretty nice relaxing night. Knowing that nothing was going to happen and actually being
able to act my age for a change without being terrified like I always am.
When I woke up the following morning Gage was still asleep so I went to the bathroom and I went
downstairs to get a coffee but dad was sitting at the table.
It looked like he had been there all night. Like he didn’t get any sleep at all.
So I walked over to the coffee machine and I started making the coffee, knowing that dad was
watching my every move.
“So, how long have you been screwing the twins?” Dad asked.
“I’m not sleeping with them. We’re friends.” I said.
“You two slept in the same bed last night.” He said.

been doing that for years. It doesn’t mean anything happened.” I said.
“You’re nothing but a lying little tramp.” Mom said walking into the room.
“I am not lying. We’re just friends.” I said.
“Why the f**k are they hanging around now all of a sudden?” Mom asked.
“I don’t know. Why don’t you ask them? Oh, that’s right. You can’t ask them because then you’ll have
to explain that you want to beat the crap out of me without them knowing about it.” I said.
Dad got up in a flash and across the room to slap me across the face.
“Don’t you ever use that f*****g tone with us again.” Dad snarled in my face.
“What’s going on in here?” Gage asked from the doorway.
Oh s**t!
Mom and dad turned around really quickly and dad took a couple of steps away from me while I was holding the side of my face.
So I lowered my head so Gage couldn’t see the red mark on my face and I turned back to finish
making my coffee.
