I finally convinced my parents to go and get something to eat and get some fresh air. They had been sitting next to Asher’s bedside ever since he got shot, and when we heard he flatlined in the operating room, that almost killed all of us. None of us thought that he could be taken down by Spencer and so far, he’s still holding on. That’s all we could hope for.
The whole pack keep stopping by to give their condolences but my mother can’t handle anymore of it so I let out a pack wide mind link, telling everyone that we appreciated what they had to say and we appreciated their prayers to the moon Goddess for Asher’s recovery, but we just needed to be left alone right now.
I know they mean well, but none of us have slept since that day. I mean, since we woke up after being knocked out.
I keep going over it in my head. Why didn’t Spencer kill us too? Why did he hit us with wolfsbane and only Asher with a silver bullet?
Was that to hurt Trinity as much as possible or does he think that we aren’t going to try and find Trinity if Asher’s dead.
If he thinks that we’re blaming her for this then he’s dead wrong. There’s no way this is her fault. He’s just a sadistic son of a b***h who is going to pay for every crime he has ever committed.
Him and his parents would have been executed if Nicole didn’t help them out of the cells. Luckily she’s no longer an issue.
Mom and dad claimed that they had had enough fresh air and wanted to go back inside, even though they had only been outside for 10 minutes.
But I knew I wasn’t going to talk them into staying out here any longer. So we went back inside and as soon as we reached the nurse’s station we heard buzzers going off everywhere,
We saw a light flashing above Asher’s room and the four of us ran to the room and pushed past the doctor that was just standing there, staring straight ahead.
“Asher.” Mom said.
Asher was standing next to his bed in a hospital gown, crouched over with his hand over his wound that was taking a long time to heal while still holding the pole that had the IV
connected to it.

“Alpha Alpha, you need to be in bed.” The doctor urged, voice firm but cautious.
Asher’s lips peeled back in a growl. “Did you get her? Did you bring her back?”

The room froze. No one wanted to answer. My father finally stepped forward, shoulders tight.
“Warriors tracked them as long as they could… but they lost the trail. Spencer was ready for everything we threw at him.”
Asher’s eyes darkened. “So she’s still out there? He still has her?”
“Yes.” Dad admitted, jaw clenched. “Scouts are searching, but… we don’t know where they
are.”
Asher shoved himself away from the bed, blood seeping through his bandages. “Then get me
the hell out of here. I have to find her.”
Mom moved quickly, pressing him back with both hands. “No. You were shot with silver. You stand, you bleed out.”
“I don’t care!” Asher roared, eyes blazing. “My mate is out there with him. While I was lying here, unconscious, he could’ve-” His voice cracked with fury. “He could’ve done anything to her, and I wouldn’t have known.”
Arlo stepped in, voice low. “If he was hurting her, you’d feel it. He wouldn’t go to all this trouble just to beat her.”
Asher’s glare snapped to him. “No. He’d go to all this trouble to break her–piece by piece–for daring to ruin his perfect little life.”
Silence pressed down, heavy and suffocating. My fists clenched at my sides. “He’s right.” I said, forcing the words past the knot in my throat. “We need to find her. Now.”
They all looked at me with disdain and Asher pulled the IV out of his arm and he grabbed the bag on the table next to the wall.
He went to the bathroom to get dressed and he walked out of the hospital room and slowly made his way down the hallway.
“Asher. You still need to take it easy.” I said, walking next to him.
“I need to find her.” Asher said. There was nothing in his voice but conviction.
“And I am going to help you. But you still need to take it easy. If you need anything done, just tell me and I’ll do it.” I said.
“Thank you.” Asher said.

S CHAPTER 47
+25 Points?
As soon as I got Asher back to the packhouse we went to the office and Asher started calling different wolfpacks that we were friendly with to see if they had heard anything of Spencer or Trinny’s parents.
She’d already been gone for two days, so we didn’t know what to expect right now. She could have been killed while Asher was unconscious. But then again, he’d feel that. Even now. So, we had hope that she was still alive. Not that it was a whole lot of hope since we knew who she was with and what sort of treatment she was getting from him.
Asher couldn’t find out anything from the other Alpha’s and he slammed the phone down when I grabbed a bag that I had brought with me from the hospital.
Asher might not like it, but I could see the blood seeping through onto his shirt so I told him to suck it up while I changed the bandaging.
“She has to be somewhere.” Asher said.
“And we’re going to find her. The scouts have already made it that far.” I said, pointing to a map on the wall.
Asher got up to look at the map and he started trailing his fingers up the pins that were stuck in it. They were the points where the wolves had been when they made contact with us.
“They’re going in a straight line. Do you really think Spencer is that stupid? You need to be looking all around here.” Asher said, pointing out the area where no one had looked yet.
“They’re going to. This is just a strategic move. You know that.” I said.
“Yeah. Until Spencer or one of his men sees them and they kill Trinny or move her.” Asher
said.
