CHAPTER 51
I didn’t want to let Asher go. He was dead. My mark disappeared. He was dead. How the hell
was he here now?
“It’s alright baby. You’re alright now.” He said.
I couldn’t control myself. The sobs started coming out as he was rubbing my back. But he pulled my head back to have a look at me.
I was a mess. I was filthy, I was covered in bruises, my face was swollen, my shoulder was messed up. And I know that I saw Asher’s eyes change color before they went back to normal and he softened his look at me again.
“Everything’s going to be alright. We’re going to get you the help that you need.” He said.
“The others…” I said.
“It’s alright. They’re being taken care of. Our warriors have surrounded the town. No one is getting out.” He said.
I climbed out of his arms and I turned around to see Spencer’s lifeless body but then I turned
to look at Lila.
I walked over to her and I started going through her pockets until I finally found the key that I was looking for.
“Come on.” I said.
“What’s going on?” He asked.
“Just follow me.” I said.
We ran back into the tunnel and straight down to where the girls were still chained up. So I started unlocking their shackles while Asher stood there in shock.
“Who are they?” Asher asked.
“Collateral damage. They’re families wouldn’t do what Spencer wanted so he kidnapped
em.” I said.
“I knew he was a sick prick but this is a whole new level.” Asher said.
We helped the girls out of the tunnel and we had to walk around the mountain to get to where the town was and the rest of the search party that had been looking for me.

Dennis, Gage and Arlo were all there but they froze when they saw me.
“We need to get these girls home.” I said.
“I can help take care of that. Where’s Spencer?” Dennis asked.
“Dead.” Asher said.
“Damn. I was hoping to have a shot at him.” Gage said.
“Me too. I didn’t kill him.” Asher smirked, looking at me.
“Well done princess.” Arlo said.
“Who are they?” I asked.
“Rogues. Spencer paid them.” Dennis said.
“Have you searched the buildings? Is there anyone else?” I asked.
“No. They’re all clear. There’s no one else here.” Gage said. And I nodded
my head.

“He kidnapped all these girls just to force their fathers into illegal activities. Wouldn’t it just be easier to go to the human world? It’s easier to start a human gang than to try and take over a wolfpack.” Gage said.
“Well, Spencer never was the sharpest knife in the cupboard.” Asher said.
“No kidding.” Dennis said.
“What are you going to do with them?” Asher asked, looking at the rogues.
“Take them back to the pack. Lock them in the dungeon and most likely execute them. They messed with our future Luna. We can’t let that slide.” Dennis said.
“Under one condition.” Asher said.
“What’s that?” Dennis asked.
“I want to do it.” Asher growled, looking at them.
“kay.” Dennis said without hesitation.
I turned to see all the guards and rogues that had surrendered when they realized they weren’t going to win this battle. They all looked at me and the Alpha’s that were surrounding me. Finally realizing the mistake that they had made by following Spencer.
If I had to guess, he never told them that I was mated to an Alpha or that I was best friends

with Alpha twins. And the whole family had taken me in. There would have been a lot that he
left out.
As I was looking around at the town where I had been confined, I started feeling really funny. It could hear people talking but it started to sound really muffled.
It sounded like they were talking underwater or something like that.
I felt Asher grab my hand and I turned to look at him but just as I did, everything went black and I lost consciousness.
I woke up to a really annoying beeping sound and as I slowly opened my eyes I saw a sterile smelling darkened room around me, but there were machines next to the bed.
I felt something warm beside me, so I looked over and Asher was asleep next to me.
It was a hospital room and I was hooked up to a heart monitor and an IV and oxygen.
I moved slightly to get a little more comfortable and I turned to look at Asher just as he quickly woke up and sat up.
He was looking around the room frantically but I touched his hand, letting him know that there wasn’t any danger.
He looked back down at me and his face softened immediately as he laid back down next to
“You’re awake. You scared the s**t out of me.” He said.
“I’m sorry.” I said, softly.
“It’s not your fault. I know that.” He said.
“What’s wrong with me?” I asked.
“The IV is getting the silver out of your system. They had to take you into surgery to fix your shoulder. You’re going to be alright though.” He said.
“What about my face? I know he broke something in there.” I said.
e did. Your nose and cheek bone. But they’re setting really well on their own so the doctor decided to leave it.” He said.
“Asher. My mark disappeared. I felt it. You died.” I said.
“I did. But only for a minute.” He said.

“When they were operating on me after Spencer shot me. I flatlined on the operating table. They brought me back.” He explained.
I felt the tear start to fall down the side of my face but Asher reached up and wiped it away with the pad of his thumb.
“It was the worst feeling. I didn’t think I was ever going to see you again.” I said.
