Mr Melendez Your Wife Wants Divorce Long Ago novel Chapter 272

**Her Spark Ignites Tonight**
**By J.S. Caldwell**
**Chapter 272**

The atmosphere in the room crackled with tension as Sir’s voice cut through the air like a knife. “Since your daughter has married into the Melendez family, she is now one of us. Yet, she chose to conceal the truth from everyone, aborting our family’s grandchild. Is this truly the well-raised daughter that the Palmer family boasts about?”

Kayla’s heart ached as she grasped Arabella’s hand tightly, her eyes glistening with unshed tears of frustration and sorrow. Anger surged within her, and she retorted fiercely, “Regardless of how poorly our daughter may have been raised, she never once begged your Melendez family for this marriage. If you hold her in such contempt, then we are taking her back today!”

With determination, Kayla began to pull Arabella towards the door, her resolve unwavering. But Oliver and the bodyguards formed a barricade, blocking their escape.

Seeing this, Arabella released her parents’ hands, feeling a surge of defiance. She stepped forward into the living room, her voice steady as she addressed Sir. “Sir, Chairman Melendez, with a father and a grandfather like you, Jayceon’s future is doomed to be spent raising another man’s child. You don’t deserve to have a grandson or great-grandson of your own!”

The fury in Sir’s eyes was palpable, his face contorting in rage as he struggled to maintain his composure, nearly losing consciousness from the intensity of his anger.

He lay rigidly on the sofa, jabbing a finger at Arabella as he bellowed, “Someone, lock this wretched child in the Family Shrine to reflect on her sins!”

A pair of bodyguards rushed in, their intentions clear as they prepared to forcibly restrain Arabella. Just then, Jayceon burst onto the scene, arriving just in time to shield Arabella from the impending assault. “Grandfather, the baby is gone. I take full responsibility; it’s all my fault. Arabella had nothing to do with it!”

Sir’s fury was now directed at Jayceon, his teeth grinding in rage as he pointed an accusing finger. “You bastard! Get on your knees!”

Without hesitation, Jayceon knelt on the floor, his expression blank, a mixture of guilt and despair washing over him.

Kayla, upon seeing Jayceon, lost her composure completely. She lunged at him, her voice filled with anguish. “You heartless man! What has my daughter done to deserve this treatment from you?”

Tears streamed down Kayla’s face as she clutched at Jayceon’s clothes, her voice trembling with emotion. “My daughter would have given you her heart, yet you’ve chosen to keep another woman on the side! What did she do to deserve this torment?”

Roderick, unable to contain his anger, pointed an accusing finger at Jayceon, his eyes blazing. “Jayceon, have you forgotten the promises you made when you married my daughter? Do you have no conscience left?”

Jayceon remained on the floor, allowing Kayla to hit him and hurl accusations without resistance. His eyes were bloodshot, filled with remorse as he managed to choke out, “Dad, Mom, I was wrong. I’m the one who has failed Arabella!”

Kayla, in her grief, gripped Jayceon’s collar tightly, her voice rising in desperation. “Don’t you dare call me Mom! If you know you’ve failed her, why won’t you agree to a divorce? Do you want to drive her to her grave before you relent?”

Julian offered a reassuring pat on Arabella’s arm, his gaze sweeping over the tense crowd before settling on Conrad. “Rumor has it that the Melendez family is the head of Zelmere’s Eight Great Clans. I didn’t expect such rudeness towards your own in-laws.”

Conrad’s face hardened as he retorted, “Julian, this is a matter for the Melendez family. You are overstepping your bounds!”

With a wild and arrogant smile, Julian replied, “You’re mistaken, Conrad. Dr. Palmer is my personal physician. Ensuring the safety of the Palmer family is also in my best interest.”

Sir’s murky eyes glinted with a ruthless edge. “Even so, you have no right to take anyone from my Melendez home, Julian.”

Julian raised an eyebrow nonchalantly. “If you refuse to let me take them, that’s perfectly fine. I’ll simply stay here and keep them company.”

Jayceon stood up, his bloodshot eyes locking onto Arabella’s. “Grandpa, allow Arabella and her parents to return and rest. If there’s an issue, let it fall on me.”

Before he could elaborate, Tabitha interjected, “Julian is Jay’s uncle, after all, so he’s not exactly an outsider. It’s not unreasonable for an elder to intervene in the conflicts of the younger generation.”
