My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 270

Hannah guessed it was probably Sandra’s public apology. Curious to see what she’d come up with, she opened her phone.

[Sandra: I am heartbroken that recent online photos and videos have portrayed my dear friend, Hannah, as a cold and unhelpful person. I also want to acknowledge that previous trending topics have caused her pain. I hereby offer my most sincere apologies to Hannah.]

Hannah pressed her lips into a thin line and rested her forehead in her hand, too embarrassed to even look at her colleagues.

She had expected Sandra to be petty and passive-aggressive, but this was a new level of shamelessness.

Even after being stood up and likely scolded by Lionel, she still chose to do this.

Whatever. It didn’t matter. The apology was never her idea in the first place.

“Is this Sandra woman for real?”

“She’s the one who paid for those posts, and now she’s acting like some kind of saint.”

“If I didn’t know the whole story, I’d think she was the victim here, apologizing on everyone’s behalf. She’s the one who set Hannah up!”

Her colleagues, who knew the truth, were furious on Hannah’s behalf.

Sandra was admiring her handiwork, pleased with herself. She had apologized, and in such a magnanimous way. If Hannah still made a fuss, she would just look petty, and Sandra could use it against her with Lionel.

But within minutes, her post was flooded with comments calling her a manipulative bitch. Worse, people were tagging her directly.

At first, she didn't recognize the names and planned to ignore them. But when she saw the threats of a lawsuit, her mind went blank. She realized they were Hannah’s colleagues.

“Hannah!” she hissed through gritted teeth. “You goddamn bitch! I apologized like you wanted, and now you have your friends attacking me? You wretched snake!”
