My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 321

Besides, the family was in a flurry of preparations for her official welcome party. Her grandfather and grandmother had hired a team of internationally renowned designers to create a custom gown and handle her styling. They were meticulously planning every detail of the event, down to ensuring the food and drinks were all to her liking.

Hannah simply had no time to deal with Lionel.

Meanwhile, Lionel found himself completely cut off. Hannah had blocked his number again, and when he tried his assistant, he discovered that number was blocked too. There was no way to talk to her.

In desperation, he tried waiting for her at the Keystone Group building.

He didn't find Hannah, but he did run into Yves.

“Well, well. Did you not receive an invitation from the Temple family, Mr. Rosenberg?” Yves asked, waving the elegant card in his hand. “Hannah’s welcome party is tonight. As her… nominal husband, surely you weren’t left off the list?”

Lionel’s face was a stony mask. “Is Hannah in the office? Be a dear, Mr. Lancaster, and tell her I need to speak with her.”

“Oh, you must be joking, Mr. Rosenberg. That’s no trouble at all!” Yves chuckled. “But it’s not that I won’t help you, it’s just that Hannah has been incredibly busy lately and took some time off. How about this? I can give her a call for you.”

With a grand flourish, Yves held out his phone to Lionel. Even an outsider could guess he’d been blocked, and the public humiliation was scalding.

Without another word, Lionel turned on his heel and strode away.

“Don’t be shy, Mr. Rosenberg! I won’t even charge you for the call!” Yves shouted after his retreating back. “Do you want my help or not? Just say the word!”

Watching Lionel disappear, Yves let out a derisive snort, pocketed his phone, and drove to the Temple estate.

When he arrived, the house was already magnificently decorated. Yves greeted the elder Mr. Temple before going to find Hannah. On his way, he passed the area where the technical crew was setting up the audio-visual equipment and paused for a moment. After about fifteen minutes, he finally headed upstairs.

“It’s the company they always use, but they said they were short-staffed and had to hire a few temporary workers to help out,” Hannah replied, handing the phone back. “It seems Sandra still hasn’t given up. She’s even dredging up videos from the orphanage to try and ruin me.”

“Do you want me to put a stop to it?”

Hannah thought for a moment, then shook her head. “No, let her. If she wants everyone to see these videos, then let them play. We’ll consider it her welcome-home gift to me. A gift this big? How could I possibly refuse it?”

Yves instantly understood her plan and broke into a grin. “That’s Hannah. I think Sandra is about to learn what it means to be hoisted by her own petard. It’s a shame Lionel isn’t here, though. He’d miss the show.”

“He’s not coming? Samuel delivered the invitation to him personally.”
