My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 405

She knew that Sandra's viral post had originally been his doing. If Quennel hadn't asked for her help, she never would have spent a fortune suppressing it.

And now Hannah had created another massive media storm that she had to clean up. For the past two days, their family had been the butt of everyone's jokes, a topic for casual gossip.

“Tell him to come home for dinner tonight. Tell him I need to talk to him about something important!”

“Yes, ma’am.”

The secretary hung up and went in to relay the message to Lionel, but he showed no reaction, his gaze still fixed mournfully on the divorce papers.

Night fell.

Mary and Quennel sat at the dining table, waiting for Lionel to arrive.

But after more than half an hour, he was still a no-show.

“Mom, do you think he’s avoiding us on purpose?”

“Call him,” Mary ordered. “Ask him if he didn’t get my message. Tell him to get over here right now, I don’t care what he’s doing.”

Quennel nodded and dialed his number.

Three seconds later, he put his phone down. “Mom, he probably figured we’d call. His phone’s off.”

Quennel offered a helpless smile.

“He’s getting bolder and bolder, completely out of control. I told you when we adopted him that we should have sent him abroad for proper training instead of keeping him here with us. See what’s happened now?”

Hearing her eldest son’s flippant tone, Mary snapped, “What’s the use of saying all that now? As long as he doesn’t get this divorce, Hannah will keep causing trouble. Do you have any idea how much the Rosenberg family stock has dropped because of this marriage certificate nonsense!”
