My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 406

Seeing Hannah’s reply, Quennel’s bright, sunny demeanor instantly turned gloomy. He stared at the cold, impersonal words on the screen, sighed heavily, and cursed under his breath.

It was all Lionel’s fault. Otherwise, he and Hannah would be out to dinner right now.

But Hannah had a point. The news of their marriage was all over the internet, and reporters were even showing up at their company and factory.

Paparazzi were surely lurking in the shadows, waiting for a shot. If they caught him meeting Hannah privately, it would only damage her reputation. He had to avoid doing anything that would hurt her. Once this mess was over, they would have all the time in the world.

Still, not being able to see Hannah was agonizing.

[You’re being very thoughtful, Hannah. But don’t worry, my mother and I will keep trying to convince him to sign the divorce papers.]

[Okay, thank you, Quennel. But it’s better if I handle this with him directly. I don’t want him to lash out like a mad dog and cause problems for you.]

They chatted a bit more before ending the conversation.

Every time she talked to Quennel, Hannah couldn’t help but marvel at how two brothers from the same mother could have such drastically different personalities. It just proved how much one’s environment could shape their entire life.

Thinking of this, she felt a wave of relief that she and Lionel never had children. She couldn't imagine what kind of person a child would become growing up in a home with warring parents and a cheating father.

When they first married, she had thought about having a child with Lionel. But he had despised her back then, believing she had used deceitful means to marry him. He wouldn't even touch her, let alone have a baby with her.
