Hearing Lionel's voice, Hannah finally stopped in her tracks and turned around, as if noticing him for the first time.
She looked him up and down, then sneered coldly. "Like mother, like son indeed. You're exactly like your mother—barging into my house without even bothering to knock. What do you both think this place is? Your own backyard?"
Lionel opened his mouth to explain, but she cut him off, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Your mother did the same thing before, just waltzing into my home as she pleased. And now you're doing it too. Neither of you has any respect for me or my family. I don't care what you have to say."
Hannah pointed sharply toward the door. "Just get out of my house right now. If you don't leave immediately, I'll call security and have you thrown out. Don't think I won't do it—I wasn't afraid to have your mother removed, let alone you."
Lionel knew Hannah disliked him, but he hadn't expected her contempt to run this deep. He had only come to the Temple residence to see her, and now he was being driven out like this.
"Hannah, I know I failed to bring Kiron back from Cyprus, and that was my mistake. But I've also uncovered something important."
Lionel quickly took out his phone, pulled up the information, and handed it to her.
"About the drugging incident back then—there's a lead now. I was wrong to accuse you without investigating properly back then. I apologize. Please take a look at this."
Hannah glanced at it but said nothing, instead turning to look at Samuel.
