Hannah and Samuel arrived at the office and soon went into a meeting. After the short meeting, it was decided that the two of them would go on a business trip down south.
Initially, Hannah wasn't scheduled to go, but when she heard the destination was where her friend Tess was currently living, she eagerly volunteered. After all, who could refuse a paid trip to visit a friend?
More importantly, with Lionel in his current state, he probably wouldn't be signing any contracts anyway. There was no point in dragging things out with him. It was better to take this chance to relax.
The case was already in court and just needed to follow procedure.
While she was away, she had already figured out what she'd do: mail a copy of the divorce papers to his house every day, and another one to Mary for good measure. Her plan was to harass them relentlessly and deny them any peace of mind.
If they were determined to make her life miserable, then she saw no reason to be considerate. She'd drive them crazy, and they could all be miserable together.
When they got home that evening, they packed their bags, ready for the business trip the next day.

After escaping, Sandra hid for two days before secretly returning home and contacting Owen.
Owen only dared to come home after hearing from a friend that Lionel had returned to his country.
Once they were both back at the house, they unanimously decided to move immediately.
“What if we just move to another country? We're still too close to them here. It's just a few hours by plane, and he has some influence in this region. We should go somewhere farther away, a place where he has no power. That would be better.”
