But thinking about her plan, Hannah couldn't help but smile.
“Really? I had no idea you were such a good person. You’re much more handsome than your photos, too.”
James was taken aback. He had assumed a woman as cool and aloof as Hannah wouldn't give him the time of day. But not only was she talking to him, she was complimenting him. It seemed he was truly irresistible.
“Hahaha, you flatter me, Ms. Green. I actually came down specifically to escort you upstairs. But since you were late, how about you treat me to lunch as a penalty? What do you say?”
James finished with a suggestive eyebrow raise, as if being invited to lunch by him was a great honor for Hannah.
Hannah and Samuel almost gagged at his audacity.
If she weren't planning to get back at him for Tess, she would have slapped him across the face right then and there.
What a shameless man. Claiming he came down specially to meet her? Did she need his escort?
Besides, from the way he was acting, it was obvious he hadn't been waiting for her. He was just arriving for work and happened to run into her. The way he tried to make it about himself was just disgusting.
“Alright,” she said, forcing down her revulsion.
The three of them took the elevator up to the conference room to discuss the details of the project.
It wasn't until they were in the meeting that Hannah understood why someone who had just transferred to the company was put in charge of this task.
It turned out he was the son of one of the senior executives.
Samuel had also done some digging and found out more about him.
