My Deceased Wife Wants a Divorce (Hannah) novel Chapter 494

“Yes,” Hannah replied from the other end of the line.

When she first heard the audio coming through her earbud, she had been genuinely startled.

She never thought Samuel would be so bold as to record the conversation live.

She had assumed he would just come back and tell her everything afterward.

But after the initial shock, she had listened intently.

It was pure bragging.

And it was all about things she had never heard of before.

But the recording only contained Sandra's voice. It sounded like she had been recorded without her knowledge.

As for who did the recording, that was anyone's guess.

Maybe it really was Quennel, as Lionel had claimed.

But without any proof, she couldn't bring herself to suspect Quennel.

Besides, Quennel had been so good to her; she shouldn't doubt him.

But if it really was him... perhaps he had his reasons for doing it.

“Hannah, what do you make of all this?” Samuel asked.

“I think Lionel was lying at the end,” she said. “Knowing Sandra, if Lionel had really done those things for her, she would have admitted it proudly. But she would never make things like that up.”

Although Sandra had always loved to show off in front of her, she had never lied about it. The things she bragged about were always real.

“Oh... so he played us that recording and then lied, claiming she was forced to say those things by Quennel?”

Hearing Hannah's analysis, Samuel's disgust for Lionel intensified.

“What's his goal? To make you hate Quennel? To turn you against him? Even if you two had a falling out, so what? Does he think you'd go back to him? That you'd call off the divorce?”
