After saying this, the servant quickly walked away, as if afraid Lionel would keep questioning him.
Lionel was left speechless.
He had only asked a simple question, not said anything harsh.
Since Quennel was at a dinner party, he decided to just wait at the house. In the past, even when he attended parties, he never came back too late.
Besides, if he came back drunk, it might be the perfect opportunity to pry some information out of him. He might just spill the beans in his drunken state.
After leaving, the servant immediately sent a message to Quennel, informing him of Lionel's return.
Quennel sneered when he received the message.
He wasn't at any dinner party. He was at the prison, visiting Sandra.
“See? Lionel's back. Probably looking for you. How long do you think it'll take him to find you?”
Sandra looked at the message on his phone, her brow furrowed in disgust as she looked up at Quennel.
She had never found this man so sinister, so repulsive.
These few days with him had completely changed her perception of him.
“Quennel, I've told you many times, I don't care if Lionel comes looking for me or not. I have no feelings for him anymore. Even if he doesn't show up, I won't be sad.”
Quennel put his phone away and sat down, crossing his long legs with an intrigued look.
“Is that so?” He tilted his head, feigning disbelief. “But you used to adore him. How can you just stop loving him, just let him go so easily?”
“I never loved him! When did I ever love him? I was only with him for the benefits I could get. Now that there are no more benefits, why would I care about him?”
