"Just stay here in Nyston for now. Once I've sorted everything out on my end, I'll move here to be with you. We can be just like we used to be."
Hannah reached out and squeezed her hand, her gaze sincere.
"Okay, I'll wait for you."
Samuel, listening to the two sisters talk, couldn't resist chiming in. "I didn't expect Lionel to go back so soon either. If he knew you were on vacation today, he would have been here to harass you and ruin your plans, one hundred percent."
Tess nodded in complete agreement.
"You're not wrong. But I'm curious about one thing. Why did he suddenly go back? Did something happen with the Rosenberg family?" Tess asked, intrigued.
He shook his head. "I was curious too, so I had someone look into it. But the Rosenberg family seems to be operating normally. Nothing major has happened, no important meetings are scheduled. I even had someone tail him, and he went straight to his mother's house after he got back."
Hearing this, Hannah suddenly remembered what Samuel had told her about his meeting with Lionel at the cafe.
She said, "Do you think he actually believes Quennel kidnapped Sandra? Maybe he went back to confront Quennel and find her."
Samuel frowned. "If he really went back just to prove Quennel kidnapped someone... no, abducted her... that's actually possible. If he can produce evidence that Quennel did it, he can come to you and badmouth him, trying to get you to stay away from him."
