Seeing the familiar car and the familiar man standing beside it, both Hannah and Samuel's expressions darkened.
Samuel whispered, "I knew this guy wouldn't just give up quietly."
Hannah nodded in firm agreement.
With a look of disgust and contempt, Samuel glared at the man and continued, "Back in the city, when he stayed at the same hotel as us, he called it fate. Now he magically knows our arrival time and is waiting here with his car. Don't tell me this is also 'fate,' or that he just happened to be passing by, or that he's been staking out the airport every day just to be the first to greet us. If he says something that stupid, I'll know for sure he's lost his mind."
Hannah thought to herself that even Lionel, as messed up as he was, probably wouldn't say something like that.
She planned to ignore him and walk away, but just as they were about to turn, Lionel spotted them. He waved excitedly and strode over.
"Hannah, you're finally back!"
Hannah remained silent, her beautiful face devoid of any expression as she simply looked at him.
It was Samuel who spoke first. "What are you doing here? You haven't been camping out here every day waiting for me and Hannah, have you?"
Lionel nodded without hesitation. "That's right. I didn't know when you were coming back, so I've been setting aside some time every day to wait for you at the airport."
Upon hearing this, Hannah and Samuel exchanged a look.
