Before he even finished speaking, Andrew grabbed the nearest chair and swung it hard, smashing it down on the scarred man’s head.
The guy didn’t even have a chance to react. The chair hit with a sickening crack, and he dropped to the floor. Everyone else froze in shock for a second, then hurried over, glaring at Andrew with pure fury.
“What the hell is wrong with you?!”
Andrew just rolled his shoulders, cracking his knuckles with a mocking grin.
The scarred man pressed his hand to his bleeding forehead, glaring at Andrew with pure hate. “Get him! All of you, now!”
Five men rushed at Andrew.
Andrew tossed his suit jacket aside and stepped up to face them, never letting them get close to Emily. He’d moved her safely out of the way before things exploded, and he was determined to keep her protected.
Emily watched, her stomach twisting with worry. One guy against six? There was no way he could win. But as the fight broke out, Andrew moved with a speed and confidence that caught her totally off guard. He ducked and weaved, his punches fast and ruthless. Every hit he landed was brutal and precise, dropping guys with painful accuracy. He fought like he did this every day, not like someone who spent his life behind a desk. Anyone who took a punch from him took their time getting back up.
Blood quickly smeared across Andrew’s fists and his white shirt. He took a few hits, too, but he never slowed down.
The six men started to lose their nerve, realizing they weren’t making any progress. The fight was slipping away from them.
Andrew spotted an opening and slammed his fist straight into the scarred man’s face. The guy’s eyes rolled back as he crumpled to the floor, seeing stars.
The remaining five backed off, regrouping around their leader, their eyes darting nervously to Andrew.
The ballroom was a total mess. Chairs were knocked over, flowers scattered everywhere, the whole place in chaos.
Andrew wiped blood from his mouth with the back of his hand, eyes fixed on the men across from him.
