My Great Escape Led Me to You (Emily Blair) novel Chapter 924

Emily stepped out of the car with a bouquet of baby’s breath cradled in her left arm.

Tristan fell into step beside her, keeping to her right.

Neither of them said a word.

Tristan was so different from his usual self—clingy, almost giddy, his eyes shining as his hand at his side clenched and relaxed, again and again.

The sight almost made Emily laugh. On impulse, she reached out and grabbed his hand.

Tristan turned immediately, eyes bright.

Suppressing a smile, she teased, “What? Isn’t this exactly what you wanted?”

He grinned, squeezing her hand tightly, his palm pressed warmly against hers.

They walked into the elevator together. Tristan glanced down at her, his expression gentle. “I don’t have anything scheduled for tomorrow.”

Emily arched a brow. “Are you hinting at something?”

He squeezed her hand again, jaw tense, and leaned in to murmur in her ear, “You know what I mean. Do you have any plans tomorrow?”

Emily shrugged. “Sadly, I have to meet a client in the afternoon.”

Tristan’s face fell. “Not even a little free time?”

She met his gaze, deliberately drawing out the moment as if pondering. “Hmm… Well, my meeting is in the afternoon. If you want, I could free up my evening.”

Tristan’s smile returned, wider than ever. “Perfect. Then let’s go out tomorrow night. Just us.”

Emily nodded, grinning. “Alright.”

The elevator reached their floor, and they stepped out hand in hand.

Elizabeth stood outside, about to say hello when something caught her attention. Her eyes drifted down, landing squarely on their joined hands.
