“Does he know you’re here?”. My gran asked.

“I’m letting him cool off”. I took a sip of my water. “He blew off the handle again because I’m doing something he doesn’t want.

“Do you really want to leave things like this?”.

“No, of course not but I’m not going to be the first one to brake. He was the one that stormed off instead of staying so we could talk. He’ll find me when he’s ready”.

“I’m sure he’s just worried”.

“Worried about what? I’m going to stay with my dad for a few weeks. I’m not going to be in any danger”.

“They always do”. She smiled. “Maybe ask him to go with you?”.

“Have you talked to Jake about how you’re feeling?”.

“I thought he stormed off because he doesn’t want you to go?”. She frowned.

“Yeah, but I tried to talk to him about how I was feeling and then my dad came up and me going with him-… you get the drift”.

“I think you really need to talk to him about it. If you’re not happy then sweetheart, you need to tell him”.

“I didn’t say I wasn’t happy. I love my life, and I love where I’m at but”. I paused. I didn’t want to sound ungrateful because I was grateful for everything I had in life. “I think I feel the way I do because I’m the same as them but different”.
