Seeing the situation deteriorate, Candice quickly interjected, "President Powell, isn't that a rather absolute statement?"
The tension in the air was thick. Candice stood by Benjamin's side, facing Blaze. "You've misunderstood my relationship with Mr. Forrester. I'm his wife's sister."
Xavier scoffed. "A man and his sister-in-law? Do you two have no sense of decency?"
"President Powell!" Benjamin's face was livid. "If you don't want to do business, just say so. There's no need to slander us." He stepped sideways, shielding Candice behind him. "Candice has worked with your company. Is this how you treat your business partners?"
Candice's expression turned cold as well. "President Powell, your staff contacted me just the other day about renewing our partnership. It's hardly appropriate for you to humiliate me like this now, is it?"
Blaze simply responded with a soft "Mm."
He then took out his phone and made a call. It connected almost instantly. "Inform the marketing department that Candice Fletcher is never to be hired as a brand ambassador for the Powell Group again. And add the Forrester Group to our permanent blacklist."
With that one casual statement, Blaze severed any last hope Benjamin and Candice had. Panic flashed across Candice's face, while Benjamin's expression turned grim. "President Powell, do you always let your emotions dictate your business decisions?"
A mocking smile touched Blaze's lips. "I've earned the right to be emotional. Have you?"
"You—!" Benjamin was speechless, gritting his teeth in silent fury as his eyes fell on Rebekah, who had remained quiet nearby. This was all her fault! Now even his last chance with the Powell Group was gone.
Caleb smiled warmly at Rebekah. "Let's go, little sister."
Rebekah slowly came back to her senses, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at the three men before her. "You… you're my brothers?" she asked, her voice uncertain.
Xavier, hands in his pockets, sauntered over. He nudged Caleb aside with his elbow and casually slung an arm around Rebekah's shoulders. "Of course we are. Let me introduce myself. I'm Xavier, your fourth brother."
He pointed to Caleb and Blaze, introducing each of them. Finally, his expression softened as he looked at Rebekah. "Our third brother had a work emergency and couldn't make it. You can be mad at him, but please don't think he didn't want to see you. We're all so happy you're finally home."
